I think March & May are going to be some pretty big months in the Britney Standom!

They are the only months she is off, and I think they will be the months of major promo and release.

I always thought Single in March, Album in May/June!

GUYS, LET'S GIVE BRITNEY A SUMMER SMASH.

It's funny that rumors are saying she may release a song 3/4 and that's when u can start buying tickets...maybe a single release the day tickets go on sale to try and drive the sales of both up?

that would be real smart...toooooooo smart for B's team tho.... and doesn't she usually release new music on tuesdays?

Idk boo! Her team has kinda been smart with not giving out a lot of info this time! Instead of overhyping something they are letting the hype build itself and honestly it feels bigger than the hype for BJ did. The entire fan base is on the edge of their seat everyday looking for new Britney info! Even if it's just a title announcement and a snippet followed by the full thing next week it feels like it could actually happen with how they have been handling this album.

That would be so genius actually, but Britney's team & RCA aren't that smart.

They tend to be a more traditional rollout type of team/label, but i hope they change it up, step it up.

I feel like they are being smarter than ever tho. Keeping things hush builds hype and causes meltdowns haha! Aka the magazine cover. It got people attention and they were paying attention to Britney so they immediately followed it with new POM dates so they got a bigger viewer base. I feel like this album will drop almost immediately after they do something to cause major hype so lookout for that:)

Her team has always been good at not giving out to many details, it's how they handle crisis that's the problem. They don't know how to turn bad situations into good (like the Alien recording fiasco, which could have been a great time to release Alien as a 3rd & final single) and they don't know how to perfectly time their releases for maximum impact, which is what i'm still waiting for.

I do agree the hype surrounding this album seems to be much greater,  not just with fans, but with the GP as well. For some reason, Vegas has made her more favourable in the public eye.

agreed, and music releases used to be on Tuesday, in order to get full charting periods, but that day has now changed to Friday, so releases can be international, one day, instead of US releases/UK releases/AUS releases, etc. It's an attempt to combat the internet lmao.

Well then they should start reading this forum and take notes tho.

Truthfully, I think it's going to be a major surprise.

They are leaving hints to prepare fans ("spring," "soon," "very soon" etc) to get ready to buy it.

Like, I could see Britney having a big TV special from Vegas, and announcing the surprise release at the end, immediately making it available on iTunes, Apple Music & Spotify. The special would be on a Sunday, so it would be an Online exclusive Monday to Friday, with Friday being the day the Physical copies are released.

I think that a #1 debut would be extremely possible with the streaming & Online sales online, and then when  the physical album is released, it would push it to remain at #1 for a second week (making it her only album to do so, i believe).

Not to mention, this would give us a better opportunity at a #1 single & #1 album at the same time!

Months of release probably, but major promo... we'll see. I believe few interviews and at best one pre recorded performance from the axis maybe are most likely what we will have. I don't expect anything major from her with promo tbh

But whatever she does even if it's nothing big i just hope they don't stop promo after the album release, it needs to be constant, especially after the release. The fact that she has dates in june/july/august/september (she will most likely spend her month off between mid july and mid august with her kids) makes me scared of that  :boring:

Releasing Alien after that mess would have been the biggest trainwreck of her career  :zoomzoom:

I could see something similar. If by TV special you mean like talk show appearance or a guest host gig on something where she talks in depth about the album and then at the very end says something like don't forget to buy my new album and oh by the way go check it out now on iTunes, Spotify, etc that could work. I just don't see them broadcasting from POM ever.

Nah, I don't think so...especially because William Orbit came to her defence.

If Britney's team had handled it right - Uploaded an Alien lyric video as soon as it all started, had Britney & William Orbit do an interview regarding the fiasco, instead of pretending it didn't exist - then it could have actually worked out. You are forgetting that Billboard charts don't look at people's opinions, It looks at sales, streaming & radio play, all of which had increased for Alien at the time of the fiasco. In a weird way, it was the only press surrounding BJ & they didn't capitalize on it, leading me to further believe BJ was never meant to be a massive project.

It's already confirmed that it will tho.............well, by Robin Leach anyways.

What he said is vague, but he basically said they were filming the show specifically for TV promo purposes, not the DVD (yet).

I think because Britney's contract with POM, the only way she can really do anything is from the POM stage (for example, PGs at the BBMAs!), so they will probably film a TV special, similar to that of the "In The Zone" ABC Special, Live from Las Vegas, and air it on a major network. It would be a great way to premiere the album. She could perform at least 3 tracks from the album, and announce at the end of the show that her new album is available for purchase online at iTunes & Spotify/Apple Music would make it available for streaming right away, with the Physical copy of the album being in stores Friday. (Week Long Online Exclusive + Regular release = Strong sales, since alot of fans will want it right away, as well as a physical)

I hope they do this tbh. Britney wouldn't want to move back and forth for extreme promo and having a vegas special on tv with the album release would keep her in one place while promoting herself to everyone at once. Team britney please read these suggestions :crying1:

You're answer your own question and that is why we only have 2 single for BJ. "Alien" was never meant to be a single at the first place. William Orbit and "Alien" in the album to generate buzz for BJ.   :bomt:

lmfao, what? No songs were meant to be singles...that's how an album works. I think they wanted it as a single until all this mess happened, but instead of backing down, they should have went full force.

Those are not the only months she has off , she's still yet to release dates from her upcoming legs, I hope she does release during those months tho but I'm thinking she might release a single in April, she still hasn't even filmed a video for the new single and it takes 3-4 weeks to edit

As for b9 we could be getting it May/June .. I mean we still don't know whether she will promote or not it's all assumptions

Well there ya go, the new dates are announced, and she is booked July/August, September.

So I have a feeling First Single in March, Second Single Beginning of May, Album End of May, and then WW promo October/November.
