Doesn't all this: "V" magazine cover, the way she seems to be invested in her new album, her hot rocking body, her slayage on stage; feel like it felt pre "In The Zone" era? I feel like we're getting an ITZ_2.0

I was just saying that. This album will be a Spearitual sequel to ITZ. After the Britney album many people were mocking Godney and putting her down for the 'low' album sales (which were still huge, just an inevitable decline from BOMT / Oops) and the poor single performances. It's obvious that ITZ is her favourite of her albums, and I think we're going to have a lot of stuff that is sonically similar to the mid-tempos on that album like BOM, TOMH, Showdown, etc.

YES and I'm so excited. She is so invested and treating it like art and I cant wait to hear it. With all her Instagram videos and constantly being in the dance studio working creatively she is clearly very inspired. She is so into it and it gets me so excited for this era.

Absolutely. I just said in another thread we haven't seen this fire and determination in years. She's truly in the best place right now, and it's going to shine through into everything she does.

Yes it feels a lot like itz era. Its such a coincidence that, like Jocasta said, back in the Britney era she was being mocked and it similarly happened with Britney Jean (which has also her name on it lol). Now she's seems more in control and wanting to sound different just like itz era. I think she wants once again change people's perception about her like in that time. I think her music will be similar, urban, moody and fresh.

I'm so amazed to see her so comfortable sexy and proud. She's in a healthy state of mind and it shows. I'm really proud of the progress she's made. she's really inspirational.

I know its not about chart and sales but I hope her album will be a hit and will sell good. I want people to notice how well she's doing :)

I think she's aiming for that. I've always thought that ITZ was her favorite album of her own and it's probably because it was the first time her voice and ideas were being fully heard. Plus its the only album that got her a grammy win so maybe she wants that magic back. The album will probably be the more mature, less overtly sex heavy cousin to ITZ. She's probably still going to talk about sex and partying but probably from a different perspective.

Personally I'm hoping she also gets darker but not in a depressing way, just more emotional, honest, deep.

Another oldster chiming in. I was 17/18 during ITZ. This totally is like that except she doesn't have the extra personal crap going on- she's in an amazing place. This could literally be a better version of the ITZ era. I don't like to get my expectations too high, but she's in a great place right now, seemingly.

People have been trying to say she's finished since Oops. Britney was a great album and just because it didn't sell insane amounts, people still wanted to count her out. I remember waiting for new music to come, and everyone was saying she was gonna flop, and then on Access Hollywood or whatever show I was watching at the time (that's how you got your celeb news, yo!) they had a clip of her leaving a club in LA or NY with her latest single on a burned disc held triumphantly above her head. It was then I knew- her next album was gonna slay my bored teenage ass.

Ahhh good times. I'm getting excited for B9 now.

It actually very much does remind me of ITZ .. Not sure if the sound will be similar since she said it's different from anything she's ever done but based on the way she's been lately I would say definitely
