As you will read in this issue’s cover story by John Norris, Spears has grown up quite a bit herself over the years. While she puts the finishing touches on her ninth studio album (due this year), the 34 year-old mother of two has found herself to be a well-adjusted adult, happy to spend her days pleasing crowds with her Vegas show, Piece of Me.

This was all their plan - the album is coming, and it's a surprise, but they are droppin' hints so fans will be hyped and prepared at any minute ("soon" "very soon" "80% done" "Due this Spring")
The single will come in March, and then a random surprise release in May, with a TV Special from Vegas.

My opinion is they just don't want us to know yet.

We don't even have a date for the lead single it's obvious they don't want us to know for the album. (it's too soon to officially announce a date anyway, we never know what can happen until then, she could record new songs last minute so that means it would be delayed  :blackoutsmiley: )

But it's not like they gave us a date. Spring is anywhere from March - the end of June. Either way, obviously team Britney stepped in and asked them to remove it. I hope it doesn't mean we'll be waiting until Q4 for the album, I got my hopes up today  :crying1:

They wouldn't mention spring out of nowhere, there is obviously something coming during that time

But date/period is the same, they don't want us to know yet, it's coming "soon" and that's all we have to know for now  :pieceofwhat:

I think it's still coming in Spring because Larry already said its 80% finished and they also said that Britney will finish her album in the next 3 weeks .. Which means it should be done by the middle of this month. So hopefully we get a single by this month or April

I hope so, we haven't had an album in 5 years

I don't understand why everyone is so obsessed with knowing when things are happening rather than just letting it be a surprise

Is it wrong for people to be eagerly anticipating new material from their favourite recording artist though? You are always on your high horse. Come back down to earth bitch and be a fan like the rest of us. When people are told that the album is dropping in Spring and then that changes to the year in general, discussions are bound to take place. And as far as I'm aware this is a public forum. giphy.gif

:eeek: What the fuck are you talking about? You were told it was dropping in Spring, now it's the year, what's the big deal? Does it matter? We're getting new music. It'll come when it comes, there's no reason to meltdown over a time frame, or demand to know information about it.

Didn't she say in the same magazine that's she's taking her time and doing it right this time? I'm definitely ok with her taking a few more months if it's better quality. She released Britney Jean, because everyone rushed her to do it, and it wasn't her best. Everyone cried and moaned about it. I'm sure that not doing so well, made her want to do something good and not just release stuff for the sake of everyone else. I like that she is dedicated to this one and taking her time. She wants something to be proud of. If this album is great, it will erase all doubts that her career is near the end, and she could shoot back up to the top where she belongs. Whether it's may, December, etc. who cares? It's coming. We waited this long, not that big of a deal.
