I'm not a big fan of surprise releases cuz I hate waiting forever and checking all of her pages each day for nothing, I'd prefer them to give us release date and then start counting the days till it premieres, it will also make me more excited than I am at the moment.

An announcement a week or so before, along with some teaser pictures of the album photoshoot or the MV, would be perfect! But they'd have to be very careful and do something to prevent the song from leaking

It depends how they would handle it tbh, it worked with Beyonce's album because she was everywhere.. superbowl, festivals, tour, appearances, magazines cover, documentary etc. She wasn't talking about music but she did everything to stay in the spotlight. Britney has literally no exposure right now except a cover magazine so if a surprise release means releasing the single just like that with "hey surprise my single is out" on twitter then big no

It would actually be a great for her to announce it 2 weeks before its release tbh .. 1 week for the artwork & the 2nd week the official single release. it has to be enough time for everyone to be prepared for it.

I think alot of people are underestimating Britney pulling off a surprise release.

I don't care how it's release, though a complete surprise would be nice (this fanbase would go into pandemonium online) for a change......however, if she does announce it. I hope it's like...2-3 days before.

Agreed, it's not like she's a flop like a lot of people are making her seem. I think with just dropping hints and teasers to grab attention then dropping it by surprise would be amazing. A week or 2 is too long, it will leak and fizzle or other artists may drop something, like u said, a day or 2 would be good as well

Official announcement or countdown on her website (like she did for WB's release/her Vegas residency announcement) till the lead single drops bc it get's me more amped and excited when I know what date the single is gonna drop around.

Why a surprise release would be a flop lol ? Wont reach the #1 anw. I expect a "TTWE" chart run, small debut then a grower in the charts. 

 

Im so here for a surprise release. I want her to give us the song + the MV then the cover album, tracklist & date release. All of this the same day 

Or a announcement on a Tuesday or Wednesday, 2 days before the Friday release.
