The best pop you can hear actually is mostly alternative pop, although most of them are mainstream artists in disguise, IMHO. The music industry is clearly changing and internet has also affected to it. Most artists are getting tired of just releasing what they labels are demanding them to just get them money with soulless hits and instead they're going independent and work on what they truly believe. I wouldn't be surprised if in less than 10 years there's no more physical CDs and it's all only online with artists just uploading their shit on stream services without labels interfering. 1

I honestly do think Britney would suit it perfectly & would gain a bigger audience

I'm not here for that kind of shit either. I hope is a mature pop album, something fresh and different from what she has done before and what is trending right now. I'm neither here for an album full of sex & party anthems with cheesy love songs. Britney is not the only who has grew up, we grew up too and we're not kids anymore to only enjoy catchy basic songs.
