Are you an Igloo stan or just thick? Britney's name always brings press. Google it now, and there are hundreds of publications picking this story up. When she mentions Britney, the press picks up the "news" and then mentions that Igloo is out promoting her new song. THAT'S HOW PUBLICITY WORKS. What do you think talk shows are for? PRESS. Mentioning other celebrities and creating feuds is how Igloo has kept her name out there. Fancy was a bop, and it blew up because it was a fun, catchy song - but since then Igloo has relied on cheap publicity to keep herself relevant. 

 

If you don't get that, and really think that mentioning Britney doesn't help, then you're not worth trying to have this conversation with

Someone needs to slap a muzzle on this bitch, if true, this has to do with Britney's personal life and Iggy has some nerve making it public and while it definitely sounds overprotective, it is in Britney's best interest so I'm glad they take those precautions.

Stop what? How is that a fun fact? I did indeed watch the interview. I don't think it's really strange considering Britney has had issues with drugs in the past and her maintaining custody of her children is dependent on her staying clean. Addiction is a disease that doesn't go away, so being put in a situation with temptation is something they strongly try to avoid. We know that she has a strict policy with her dancers and crew on tour as well.

 

The fact is that Igloo brought it up because she knew it would get her easy headlines

That's such a sad and uneducated way to look at it. When someone has an addiction, it's lying dormant in them. Britney's dad was an alcoholic, so yes, he had the choice of taking a drink, but most everyone drinks alcohol at some point. Addiction is the inability to then stop. When Britney was in a bad place, dealing with whatever mental issues she was dealing with, I'd never judge her for trying to find something to help her escape. Misguided? Sure. But addiction is a very sad disease that I've lost friends too. It's not a choice. No one wants to be addicted to something. It ruins and takes lives. I applaud Britney for taking the steps to ensure that she doesn't fall back on that. It takes a lot of guts, especially when people continuously judge and make remarks and jokes about it. 

 

Either way, whether you choose to judge Britney for that or not, my point was that Iggy took that anecdote and used it to get press, which is a really shitty thing to do. Britney has always taken the high road, and it's sad that so many people are willing to sell her out to get their names out there.

Just cuz you disagree, doesn't mean uneducated. For Britney's dad example, he chose to drink, and he did it so much that his body mentally/physically "needed it" to function. Diseases can be mental/physical dude to genetics/environment. Addiction is created, diseases are not.

I see it more as there's people who would love to take Britney down. Why? Cause they can make money off her troubles just like everyone who used her in 06-early 08. Let's face it, even if Britney is strong enough to say no, you just have to plant that somewhere, alert the press and chaos will ensue. She'll lose her kids, she'll get depressed and she's right back where she was. Plus you got her mom's word saying that Sam crushed prescription drugs in her drinks, whether he did or not wouldn't stop someone else to try it.

Are they overprotective? Yes, and it's sad she can't trust anyone to not sell her out in one way or another but that's reality. At least Iggy was only able to say that's it's cause her team over checks everything and not something actually bad.

And usually there is a mental reason why an alcoholic for example cannot drink occasionally like a regular person. And it's not just because their body "needed" it. Which would classify it as a disease.

Britney is in her 30's.  She rules Vegas with her show.  She is still legally a child.  You can say the c-ship is all just a piece of paper, but her team searching someone's house for drugs on a lunch date is kinda creepy and serious.  WTF is really going on with Britney?  Does she really have the mind of a child who cannot chose to remain in a program with support to remain sober?   Many people every day follow a program/support team to help manage addictions.  Why can't she be trusted to eat lunch?

 

Maybe we should be praising Iggy for bringing this to light.  I really wish some independent respected physician would examine Brit's medical records and spend a lot of time with her to see if the c-ship is in her best interests and that she is being taken care of.  Maybe she needs this, but there are so many cases of c-ships being abused.  She is worth so much money.

 

Maybe there is a chance that her dad stepping in was the best thing that could have ever happened.

It's because britney has 9812647821648x more fans that Iggy. You could clearly see everyine hates the song, even radio stations didn't want to play it. And Nicki wouldn't change anything (Bitch I'm Madonna is a great example, the song flopped, cause it's terrible even with Nicki).

Ppl were complaining because of Iggy, there's also been radio djs that have tweeted about not playing Iggy's songs and bitch I'm Madonna is a poor example to try an prove your point. Radio stations pulled BIM due to her age, that's why Madonna was complaining and called it ageism. Capital FM in the UK also made a disrespectful comment regarding her age and as to why they wouldn't be playing her music not just with BIM in general.

I'm not denying that it's basic, it's a cute little bop tho just like Team. All I'm referring to is what fans & people were saying. A lot of ppl were saying the song would of been better with nicki on it. Remind u Iggy was hated to the max at that time .. Part of me feels like Britney's team is a bit overprotective, but on the other end of the spectrum I'm glad that they ensure she's always in safe situations. There's so much darkness in the industry and it's so easy to slide back on old habits. Why would Iggy need to bring that up? FOR PRESS. Because her flop shit single isn't even top 20 on iTunes despite the fact that it was just releaseon Friday and already got a performance on Fallon + promo on GMA and WWHL. Her entire interview was just her discussing others (Nicki, Macklemore, Britney...)
