That's an opinion... as much as this fanbase hates Britney Jean, it actually got many decent reviews when it came out (B+ from Entertainment Weekly, 3.5 / 5 Stars from Rolling Stone, etc.) Not to mention how much Tom's Diner was constantly praised. Iggy hyped Tem for weeks, performed it on Fallon (the highest rated late night show for the young adult demo), did GMA to preview the video, and went on WWHL and discussed several other artists to generate press - and the single couldn't hang onto the top 100 of iTunes for more than a week. So, maybe the GP by some miracle for Igloo will catch on to it, but it proves that she has no stable fanbase, so PG relied solely on Britney stans, many of whom hated the song (with good reason.) Iggy did tons of promo for her last single, too - the one with Jennifer Hudson. That peaked at #67

Right now Britney needs promo to succeed, especially after a string of flops like she has had recently...but a few years ago she really didnt need to do that much promo.
