She did an interview with a British magazine called Daily star and she spilt some major tea

"Many young people talk bad about Madonna & Britney Spears, which does not seem fair because thanks to them Gaga, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Kesha, & I exist"

"They are the two best pop divas of music without them there we wouldn't have pop today. I do know that thanks"

And she's right TBH , a lot of this new generation just wants to tear them apart & deny their impact as if they had none. Gaga & as well as many other artists Have admitted that without Britney they wouldn't be here today

'Sweet Talking' powerhouse, Jessie J, came to the defence of Britney Spears and Madonna in a recent interview with the British newspaper, 'Daily Star.'

Jessie J is known to tell it like it is and we are warning you, the tea is exceptionally hot with this one...

We salute you J-Jessie-J-J! Now, when can we have a 'Bang Bang' part 2 with Brit and Madge? We are ready!!

There's no denying Britney's impact and why she's known for being the definitive Princess of Pop.  And what Jessie J said is great :slay:  But Janet Jackson's influence is undeniable and the blueprint for Beyoncé, Rihanna, Gaga, and Britney.   :bkbye:

I dont know why people like to forget Janet so much. Janet and Madonna laid the blueprint for Britney and Janet's brother is Janet's main motivation early on. So really without MJ, Madonna, and Janet we wouldn't have Britney nor would we have all the rest. But at least she said something because a lot of people are way too caught up in the new girls without recognizing everyone who came before. Which I find so strange because youtube is right there and you would think they would let themselves get caught up in the pop music rabbit hole but oh well.

Seriously.  There is no actual source for this quote.   :boring:  I'm not saying the OP made it up, because it's also featured on @shadymusictweets, but when searching nothing comes up.   :soconfused:

It's almost heartbreaking, tbh, one can pick any Janet performance to see and hear her influence on the As-Bs-Cs of the pop world.  The headset mic is mostly associated with Britney now but Janet rocked that long before, for example, and dancing becoming a prevalent part of musical performances with females.

Britney is apart of -- what I call -- The TRL generation (Justin Timberlake/*NSYNC, Beyoncé/Destiny Child's, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez) artists that became bonafide superstars clearly inspired by Madonna, MJ, Prince, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, TLC and Janet.  There's no denying Britney's legacy and honorific title (the Princess of Pop), and I think today's stars do a good job of recognizing her cultural & musical contributions.  It seems like every other week a current pop star makes reference to her in some way.   But this "quote" didn't sit quite well with me, because Janet is every bit the Queen Madonna is and deserves top billing too.
