The US received the remixed version as a third single as opposed to the album version. Britney felt that the European version (they received the original version as their second single) was a little too tame and safe and wanted a racier version of the track.

Britney was forced to tears during filming. During the ally-way scenes as the residents were shouting abuse due to the noise levels and were throwing water and other liquids at Britney and her dancers in attempt to get them off site. The music video took inspiration from Janet Jackson’s, ‘Son Of A Gun (I Betcha Think This Song Is About You)’ video and filmed at the same location, The Millennium Biltmore Hotel.

Britney mentioned in her documentary, ‘For The Record,’ that Janet has been a massive inspiration to her and has referenced her in many of her videos.

The perfect Britney song esp at the time.

I wish they released it in Europe - although I love the original - this was so perfect for the time of release and the music out then.. This version never played on radios and the video was not on TV either..  :crying1:
