I knew it was successful but I never knew it was a chart topper in so many countries. I think majority of stans only realise how big a song was in retrospect tbh

I've always told people, perception =/= reality. There are some of her songs that are super loved by this fan base that a lot of them forget the song didn't do super well, and then there are songs that are hated or thought of as so-so that did very well on the charts.
