Because of his atrocious production - but, yea, at the end of the day Britney is just as much to blame for letting the album turn out the way it did. But when we think of Blackout, we think of Danja's amazing production, for example. The biggest issue with BJ, for me, is the horrible production, dated beats, and terrible effects. I just don't like will's style. Then again, he did produce great tracks like Don't Cry and Perfume, and William Orbit absolutely butchered the production on an otherwise great song ("Alien").

 

As EP, I just think will should have done a better job at ensuring the album was at a higher level. He recruited a very subpar team to help put the album together. He's not entirely to blame, but her certainly didn't help. I think he's produced some of the worst songs of Britney's career (Big Fat Bass, Chillin With You, Body Ache, Till It's Gone, ISBE...)

Do you think she knows? Honest question. I would think she could differentiate her own voice...We know in 2007 she listened to final cuts of her own music- does she still do that?

 

idk- I just saw him on Top Gear and found him endearing, I also adore the song T.H.E.

 

I think if we just pretend BJ didn't happen- that Britney just released a few demos/one-offs for the fans, we don't have to be mad at anyone!

 

 

I wonder about this too, no shade, because it's scary how good Myah Marie's imitation is and can be.  Does Britney really think Myah's exaggerated baby coo in that atrocious song, "Chillin' With You," is her own voice singing with Jamie-Lynn?  Does she believe that vocal cover of "Passenger" is all her with Sia doing backups?  Does she not hear Myah's vocal layered and than taking her place on most of "Body Ache"?  Same for "Till it's Gone"?  Those ad-libs on "Tik Tik Boom"?  So many questions...

 

Britney Jean isn't a bad album as long as you don't take it seriously, but it ultimately sticks out for terrible reasons and luckily for her this flopped.  

 

I love The E.N.D album; "Meet Me Halfway" is one of my all time favorites.  So I give will.i.am snaps for that.
