Do You Really Think The Album Is Coming In May?

For some reason, I am really taking this with a grain of Salt, Robin Leach has been right AND wrong in the past, and I don't think RCA or Britney's Team are going to release an album, when they have yet to release a single & see how it performs, that, and just 2 months ago, Britney said she had no idea when the album would be released (she did say that it "could be next month, or next year" though in V Magazine, so ya never know!)

Not to mention, as Mama Jocasta pointed out in one of her threads, there is ALOT of competition in May, and I feel like RCA and Britney's Team are aware of that and don't want to deal with that, unless they have MAJOR promotion planned, which I think they do, but not enough to garner major attention/sales amongst so many high profile artists. All I know is, if she does go up against anyone (like Meghan Trainor or Drake), we as fanbase need to work like we have never worked before, streams/sales/radio requesting. 
 

I feel like we are definitely getting the single soon, and Robin could be right about the video (if he is, we know he is right about the album), but the album? Idk. I still see a bit more time before we do...especially if the 1st single doesn't take off. However, if they do plan on releasing it soon though...................maybe it means Britney is ready to get back in this game, and is willing to take on another artist, and ensure herself a #1 over them. 

 

Myself? I want a July 7th release. It is at the final friday of her July shows, with only 2 weekend dates (8th/9th), plus the 13th, after that, which would allow her a perfect chance to celebrate the album release with her fans all weekend (maybe she could perform a different song from the album each of the 3 nights after it's release, in place of Missy Elliot?), while doing a series of Interviews for TV during the day (done in Vegas, obviously). She could even have her IHeartRadio album listening party that same weekend, as it would all be during the day. On Top of that, there is no high profile releases announced yet (unless you count Good Charlotte? LOL) for July....so it would ensure a #1 album. 

After the 13th, she is free to completely promote the album all she wants, until August 17th. 

 

However, until then, I will wait till Britney's official announcement.

I think it's obvious that they're trying new things now and going in a completely different direction . Take it with a grain of salt all u want but he's been right about things lately

He's the one that first reported about Britney performing at the BBMAs (although he was wrong about the props & production)

He was also the first to report that she would be revamping her show way before it was even announced & even gave us a date that was totally accurate once it was announced.

He was also spot on when he mentioned that Britney would began rehearsals in January which became accurate

And let's not forget about him interviewing Britney & Larry not too long ago either

Gorl there has been several rumors that have been out regarding her music and was proved to be wrong and no one has melted down .. That's so 2013/2014 now let's move on

He's got like a 50/50 (maybe 60/40) in favor OF record I would say. I'm not 100% discounting it but I'm not believing yet either

I honestly don't think it's dropping in May and until I hear it from Britney I won't believe it. I do think she is dropping the single in May tho.

The competition thing is stupid tho, i mean, if she wanna wait until no one releases music then she might as well never releasing her stuff.

Whatever if there are other release, it won't prevent people to buy Britney's music if they want to, just like if there's no competition it won't make people buy Britney's music if they don't want to. Yes it could block the #1 spot or whatever if someone has more sales, but it won't make her have more sales with no competition. And there's nothing to be proud of being #1 with low sales number because there's no competition, just sayin 

 

Anyway, if the album is coming in may i just hope she will attend the BBMA and perform (and live on the bbma stage please.)

When she doesn't released music, y'all complaint and now when she does release something....y'all still have something to said about.

 

Artist release new music all years long....She can not hide and be safe forever. 

No matter what time she release, there will be a competitor out there.

 

If she and her team are so scared they should keep an album for themselves and Britney can retire.

and in terms of the competition - y'all can shut the fk up with ya hypocritical selves, because you will all be the first to be bitching and complaining about how "a legend like britney spears could lose her #1 to a flop basic like meghan or ariana grande" complete with "she should have released it with no competition....blah blah blah" - IT HAPPENS EVERY SINGLE ERA. It'll be the Blackout Fiasco all over again, but worse. 

NOT TO MENTION - no one said anything about hiding. It's called releasing shit strategically and smart, to maximize exposure & promotion, and to make everything about your music, no one elses.

- Who complaint about the charts? Certainly not me! Britney is a veteran artist so i expect a low first week sale and mediocre chart. As long as the music is good, i'm happy with that.

Britney didn't avoid Katy, Miley, Etc. in 2013 so why should she be scared now...Britney is buzz she just needs to make herself visible to ppl no one is going out of their way for her anyway so she has to do the work...work bitch sold 1 million and she never performed it before Vegas.

Britney never had direct competition though in 2011. They released near her, not on the same day. She was the only high profile act releasing on the day she did with Femme Fatale. This is different, if she releases in May, it's straight up competition no matter what.

May 6 - She would go up against Keith Urban & Drake's New Albums

May 13th - She would go up directly against Meghan Trainor 

May 20th - She would go up directly against Ariana Grande & Fifth Harmony

May 27th - This would be the only day in May to release it.
