I wish I could do something about it.

If I'm nice they're complaining about it. If I get strict and go locking topics like that one you mentioned I get mocked by 4 members just like yesterday. There will always be a lil' bit of negativity here and there but it actually keeps things balanced. Sounds crazy but it works that way.

And of course, everything has its boundaries which is why Britney bashing's prohibited on here.

S O M E "negativity" is completely okay because that keeps us realistic. Britards pretend like Britney is some kind of angelic reincarnation and that she does no wrong. :icant: She's a human, she makes mistakes, learns from them and keeps slaying our lives like no other.

One thing is to comment on the songs you don't like. Something completely different is to moke her and call her names just for the shits or to come off as "cool" [and faded]. THOSE threads need to be locked and deleted, but thankfully, there have been 0 threads bashing our girl since the Exodus so we're good!

Yes I don't like the negative Threads about Britney, however, here it is easier to ignore those Threads. People have their opinions I just don't want them to tear Britney down on every Thread. If they have anything negative to say it should be said in their own Thread rather causing problems in other Threads.

Britney herself has acknowledged good and bad performances.

Long as we do not spend our whole lives focusing on the negative ones.  It is all good.

As fans, we're not gonna eat up everything Brit does and it's like that for any artist and their fan base, it's perfectly fine to express that you might dislike something or see how other fans feel about something, as long as it's done constructively and maturely. The way it's done on Exhell is the wrong way, they straight up insult and tear Brit apart, plus, for some God only know reason, most on there seem so fucking angry and every thread turns into a fight and IMO, that's what really makes it feel overwhelmingly negative. But what i've seen on here so far, is fine in my eyes, no one has insulted Britney, no one's fighting,  their just discussing her work that their not crazy about.

I don't see it negatively, I have songs too I don't like from her and performances and we should talk equally about worst and best because in the end I love her no matter what.  :)

I agree with this. I found it fascinating what song others dont care for that i love. I do think saying "what britney performances were your favorite and least favorite" or something else might have sounded better but at the end of the day thats nitpicky wordy stuff that doesn't really matter.

Its mean spirited stuff I have a problem with and I havent really seen that.

Discussing what we like and dislike isn't negative in and of itself. What we need to do is learn how to do so in ways that don't create negative energy. It's soo hard because we got use to it being Ok to just attack/defend instead of give thought out reasons for our opinions or doing so without attack/defensive language.

We do need to be careful with word choice against Britney and against other posters with different opinions than our own. For now I think we should use the language of opinion in thread. IE: Which performance do you think is her worse and why? "I think her worst performance is the FF promo HIAM because she seemed tired and ill." and then go on from there as to why I think she was tired and ill or what ever reason. And give a performance of the song or era I liked. "I think she improved so much by the time the FF tour started. I love watching the tour performances of HIAM".

I have so much fear that we will just succumb to how Exhale taught us was the way and that will create negative energy. I think our fears are creating negative energy and that isn't good ether  :britney-agreedlol: Negative energy is negative energy no mater where it's coming from.

It's Ok to not like something. It's not OK to create an atmosphere where everybody is on edge defensive about their opinions. And that includes us Positive people going at those not liking something. Discussion is great. Creating a negative atmosphere is something that can turn on a dime. I feel like we all have PTSD  :crying1:

Lets see if we can come up with some suggestions:

-I think we should ban the word Britard. Change it to extreme stan or something  :xf1:

I really hope not. That site was like a perpetual Benita Butrell skit. (If you all don't know who I mean, search on YouTube. I am on mobile or I would embed an example.)

But I do think word choice is important. It saddens me that people throw around certain terms and phrases without being cognizant of their connotation. Like many of you have said, as fans we are not going to like everything Britney does but there is a way to express dissatisfaction without bashing.
