Former Boyband Blue's Duncan James Name Dropped Britney Spears

Duncan recently returned to the lead role of Tick after a three month gap and will be starring with the show for another three months before the UK tour ends in June.

 

 

“I feel like Britney Spears,†he says. “I started in the show last August, so will have done almost a year when the tour comes to an end. It’s been such a blast. It’s such a great show and the cast are wonderful. When you’re on the road like we are, it’s a bit like when you’re touring in a band, you become like a big family because you are spending every single day with them.

‘We were at a party and a man approached us and asked us to come upstairs because she wanted to meet us,’ Simon tells Now’s Dan Wootton.

 

Duncan adds: ‘It was in her private room and we were all jumping on her bed. It was the most surreal night ever.

 

‘Her movie Crossroads had just come out.’

 

Lee reckons Britney was on the pull.

 

‘Definitely. She was eyeing me right up,’ he says. ‘She clearly fancied one of us. Maybe Duncan.

 

But Duncan disagrees: Shut up – I was just jumping on the bed with her!

 

‘I loved her. She was like my little idol back there.’
