This happening, amongst reports that she will reportably perform her brand new BURNS Produced Track, Make Me (Ooh), on the May 22nd LIVE broadcast (and from the actual show thsi time), following the May 20th release of the song (sorry Ariana!). It is also reported she will receive The Icon Award (which, let's be real, is LONG over due!)

Here is the commercial:

What do you think? Is Team B actually going to get it right this time? Do you think Britney is performing at the Billboard Music Awards....do you think we we can get Britney a new #1 single from it?
If they play it right, and release a lyric video with the performance to VEVO, then a Music Video the following week....I think we can score a Top 10 debut, then another #1 !

We'd have to request hard on Radio the first two weeks of release, AND MAKE SURE WE BUY THE SONG.

One could hope!

If she were to perform, I would want it to be something different/risque/revolutionary.

We know Britney will never use animals again in a performance, but it would be awesome if she did something revolutionary for this performance - besides, fire, water, acrobatics....

So is everyone else shown in them snippets performing as well?? Or is it just highlights from last year :s

Those are just random clips from the past two years. Ed Sheeran has no new music out and is on hiatus right now, One Direction is also on hiatus - they aren't performing this year. Even if Britney is, it has nothing to do with being in this commercial. They are just clips from 2014 and 2015. There is no credible source whatsoever that Britney will perform this year. We had one rumour that was proven fake (it was made up by a Brazilian fan on a forum) saying she would perform and get an icon award.

No, in fact, I feel like if she was going to perform the teaser would have been longer. She literally got like a second on this commercial. Anyway it's normal for them to reuse footage from the previous ceremony.
