2016 (V Magazine):

“Honestly, I’m just particular with this record,†she explains. “It’s my baby, and so I really want it done right.†And, she adds, she won’t be rushed in the interest of delivering new product ASAP. “I would much rather have it be completely how I want it to be, whether that takes another year for me to do, or two months. I have no idea at this point. But I just know that the direction I’m going in is so good. It’s the best thing I’ve done in a long time. I’m proud of the work, and it’s very different; it’s not what you would think at all."

2003 (MTV):

“My music hasn’t been out,†she said. “I’ve been recording the whole time. It’s like a big deal for me. It’s my baby

Let's pray B9 serves us In The Zone vibes. I really think this album is gonna be very Britney & very amazing

She referred to ff as her best album. She referred to bj as her most PERSONAL album

TBH I dont disagree with her about FF. When FF came out it very well obliterated Circus in terms of music & i love circus!. Plus it has a stong Electro gritty classic pop sound so it makes sense why she'd say that

It's one of her best but easily not her best...it's not innovative enough...b/o was insulted

I think circus is a much Better album. If nothing else just for the fact that big fat bass is really a poor track.

Circus has much more variety on it.

i'm sorry, but femme fatale was cheap, basic and generic as fuck. and that's exactly why it had so many hits. it has that awful 2011 sound that dr. luke shoved down everyone's throats. her voice is just plain on every fucking song, there was no innovation, nothing original, except how i roll. luke and martin did with femme fatale what will.i.am did to britney jean, basically.

circus as an album is pretty boring, but at least it has some quality underneath. and britney doesn't sound sedated through the whole record :tea2:

This.

After Blackout, her albums were pretty safe and generic...I mean i like Circus and FF but there nothing innovation or experiment about it. Just basic pop dance music.

Hope B9 will give us some ITZ or BO teas.....

finally someone who agrees that FF is amazing!

If you knew me well enough you would know that FF is my favorite album and my favorite song is TTWE (from FF) and it's just her best album ever :queenflopga:

Too bad the FF tour was so terrible. I bought the DVD the day it came out but have only watched it 1.5x because the cringe is real. I used to dislike the Circus tour because *occassionally* she seemed not too into it, but someone on the forums convinced me to rewatch and now I'm wishing for a Circus DVD. Thinking about burning one from YouTube (but I'm old and will have to Google how).

As to the OP- I hope it is another ITZ type era. If she hadn't been derailed by her personal demons (plus The Knee)....

Oh def not her best. Blackout is....But in retrospect FF was technically her best especially at that time in her life especially coming after Circus. Aside from her zombie like state a lot of the times FF had the best era post ITZ. Imagine 2016 Britney during FF era

The passion Britney has when speaking about this album is different than anything since itz and that makes me excited. I'm not really the biggest itz fan because I think the album is highly overrated, but I definitely wouldn't be mad if this album goes in that direction. I don't want a 2.0 of any album though, so while I hope this album is experimental like itz I also hope it's fresh and different from anything she's done prior

Circus remains the best era post itz..2016ney is the best too but I need to hear her music...if her music is phenomenal and she's phenomenal it will be the best era since her prime and I do count 2008 as primeney.
