I'm ready for it...but I was kind of hoping they would wait till the end of the month.
Announce the release & Billboard performance Monday, and then release it May 20th, with the world premiere performance TWO DAYS LATER (perfect promo!), LIVE at the BBMAs.

THERE WOULD BE SO MUCH HYPE THIS ENTIRE MONTH.

I feel like he just misunderstood the announcement :gloria: but idk, is he usually accurate?

Im not sure I usually hear Greg and Fernando from 99.7 I dont really know this guy. I hope he didnt just mix up the song release with the bbma announcement :zoomzoom:

Im praying he just misunderstood this & it's actually an announcement cuz if this is true then that's definitely a bad move to release it this monday after everything that just got released. She will definitely flop if she releases on Monday

can we really trust someone called a Strawberry station? :moorangu: even iHeartRadio and Ryan Secrest didn't report it so I feel like they're just assuming that the announcement will be a single release right away. The only thing that's slightly worrying me is that in the other tweet they were like "let's hope Strawberry radio doesn't leak it early!" as if they already had it.

new music is released on fridays as of 2016 (tuesday before) and her team always were strict on that one as far as I remember.

Her label was always strict on releasing songs on Mondays cause that's when the old tracking week used to start. From what I remember, it was changed after the release of Pretty Girls so we haven't had a Friday release yet. It wouldn't surprise me if her label didn't even know the rules have changed...

And yeah, we know. But then again, the radio station might've misunderstood it... and you can never assume anything with Britney's team. They are taking a really strange approach with this release.

It sounds to me that since Robin talked about the announcement on Monday people are just assuming stuff. I've seen people on twitter saying "She will announce Make Me (Ooh) on Monday" when nobody said that. So yeah, we'll see, as far as I know on Monday we're just getting news related to the BBMA's :)

What's kind of a logical is this? Doesn't matter if the song released on Monday or Saturday, if the music is good, it will do just fine.

We needs to stop thinking it's gonna be an instant hit or NO1 debut but longevity is a key and keep the momentum until the album is out.

What he means is that it'll only gather five days of digital sales and she's most likely to peak where she debuts.

I doubt it's true, and if it isn't i REALLY hope they don't leak it earlier because if they misunderstood and there is no song on monday they will just ruin everything if they leak it.

On the other hand, IF it's true which i don't think so, i hope the release isn't rushed because of the trial and since medias are obviously going to talk about it, they want to make a diversion with the single?

Anyway, i dont want it to be true it would be a bad move. Release it on may 20th with the video and then appear (hopefully perform) on the bbma, that would be a lot better in terms of promotion, otherwise it's just not really gonna get attention.

WELL BRITNEY IS PERFORMING AT THE BILLBOARD MUSIC AWARDS 2016 ON MAY 22ND RIGHT? Im assuming shes performing the new single (Make Me) as no award show normally lets a singer perform an old song, if britneys performing Make Me at BBMA on May 22nd then Make Me (Oooh) is probably going to be dropped before May 22nd. Thats my prediction im assuming shes dropping on like May 19th or something

If this does not go planned and well that means B9 will be late as Britney said that if all goes planned then she'll drop the new album the following month. If it does go planned it will also make more buzz, come on people we need Britney at the top. ALSO IF SHE PERFORMS IM EXPECTING SOMETHING AMAZING HER VEGAS SHOW LOOKS SO GOOD ITS LIKE THE 2002 BRITNEYS HERE. EVERYONE GET READY TO BE SLAYED AND WEAVE SNATCHED :D

What are you talking about? We're not even discussing that. We're referring to the radio station tweets that the OP posted claiming that "britney is gonna release her single on Monday" stay on topic sis

Girl stop being delusional, that's the only excuse you use as a defense. Do u know how many good quality singles that have been released over the years & still to this very day but still managed to flop? And it very much does matter when she releases because the sales track week begins on Fridays. If Britney was to release on a Monday then she will be missing 2 days of sales that will not be counted & rather than having a full week she will only have 4 days before the sales week ends. Another thing, I'm not even thinking she's gonna get a "hit or another #1" so don't say what I'm thinking or even put words in my mouth. All I'm saying is if she wants good sales then she's gonna have to release it on a good tracking day such as Friday but no where did I imply that she's gonna get a hit. Also you're not even thinking about the competition that's out right now . So please know your facts before u decide to come for someone
