Summer 2011 slayed so hard with I I I Wanna Go O O and the leftover slayage of TTWE  :tomh:

Godney is ready to be the Queen of Summer 2016, I can feel it  :crying1:

I think the singles could work out like ITZ / Femme Fatale:

1) First single is successful and slays a bit; it's a good intro to the era

2) Second single scalps lessors and becomes a worldwide iconic smasha

3) Third single slays a bit more

4) We'll be lucky to get a good fourth single  :notimeforu:

:hflip:  :hflip:  :hflip:  :hflip::walkaway:

Right now Godney's biggest competition for song of summer are:

1) Calvin Harris & Rihanna - This is What You Came For

2) Drake - One Dance

3) Drake & Rihanna - Too Good

4) Inventible releases from Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, Fourth Melody, and Taylor Swift  :whatever:

Rihanna's album is out of potential anthems, Beyonka will continue to sell albums but no singles will smash, and Meghan and Arianna seem to be underwhelming (although No did really well somehow...)

This summer belongs to Godney tho

Loving your confidence sis but after that BJ mess I'm kinda nervous tbh .. I just hope she comes thru with all kinds of promotion

One shit album doesn't take away from an entire career of pop brilliance, tbh. It's clear that Britney was too far removed from the BJ process and it was rushed out to work as a hype machine for Vegas. There's still some great moments on it, too (Work Bitch, Don't Cry, Hold On Tight, etc.) I do have full confidence that this will be a great pop record (she has delivered more times than not) and I think we've finally gotten to a place where the GP is craving Britney again.

I've said it before, but I think not only was BJ a misstep, but so was everything leading up to it. After Femme Fatale, Britney's image changed a bit; she was on X Factor, did S&S, the S&S remix, Ooh La La, and then there was never-ending talk of Vegas. When Work Bitch finally came out, there was no real hype left or desire for new Britney music (Ooh La La had come out just 3 months prior, and S&S less than a year before that.) Now we've gone a year without any music, and PG was basically ignored by the GP.

As long as she delivers musically, we'll have a smasha on our hands  :fliph:

yeah, I was like "I don't care much about hits, I just want good music" and that she wouldn't be able to fight off beyonce, rihanna and drake but I can feel ya.

you changed my eyes.

she can have a summer single. she's the only one rn that can deliver a slayer single for the summer. :crying1:

I hope so sis but even after a flop era she's gonna have to go hard. She's never had a flop album before so hopefully she comes thru. I'm just worried that there will be no promotion for the album since she has shows in June-September

She has all of May off and most of June; shows start on the 17th. Then she has a month+ off between July 13 and August 17.

Honestly, promo doesn't do as much as y'all act like; if the music is good and radio picks it up, then we're fine. Tons of artists this year have gotten huge hits without doing performances. Yes, it can help, but it comes down to the music. Igloo performed on late night shows, did interviews, and her single still bombed...  the same happened to Gwen. Meanwhile Beyonce and Drake did no real promo and their albums smashed. Many of the biggest songs of the past few months were huge solely because of radio and strong streaming.

If Britney does the BBMAs, releases a great single / video, and then does a few small pieces of promo, the album will do fine. Plus, as long as I love the music & have anthems to bop to all summer, IDGAF about the GP tbh. I'm going to Piece of Me for the third time this summer  :xfactorney:

have you been hearing the music that has been getting released lately tho? It's complete shit & people still make it hot so i don't really know about the quality of it but I'm sure Britney came thru on that part since she seems very Involved & is actually loving it . Gwen had an amazing era tho & her album went to #1 and as for Beyoncé we all know everyone kisses her ass lbr lol. Lemonade is pure shit (not being biased) and still sold well .. And as for Iggy I think we all know why she's flopping

Omg do u know what date you're going to get? I'm still trying to work around my schedule to see when I can go. I still haven't been to Pom yet
