Britney Spears will be awarded the BBMA Millennium Award and will perform a medley of hits, according to Usa Today.

The Billboard Music Awards are about to hit an artist one more time with one of their Millennium Awards — and this time the honoree is Britney Spears.

Meant to acknowledge outstanding career achievements and influence in the music industry, Billboard Millennium Awards was previously handed out to Whitney Houston (in 2012).

Spears has collected six Billboard Music Awards in the past, and had six albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, with 24 Top 40 singles charting on the Billboard Hot 100 (five of which went to No. 1).

Spears will perform a medley of her hits at the show, which will be hosted by Ludacris and Ciara. The 2016 Billboard Music Awards will air live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas May 22 on ABC, at 8 PM ET and 5 PM PT.

According to USA today our very own, Miss Britney Spears, will be receiving this years 2016 Billboard Millennium Award.

She REALLY needs to perform her new single aswell, a performance featuring her greates hits will catch the GP's attention for sure, so adding her new song at the end would be the perfect promo! I hope that's what happening, but anyway, just the other day I was talking about how I wanted her to perform a medley and now it seems like it's happening, I'm emotional  :crying1:

it will be a tribute thing like vmas. dont get your hopes up, we are not in 1999 anymore and shes not JLo

They are specifying that SHE is performing tho, so it'll definitely be better than the VMA's tribute  :wutwut:

she better use pre-recorded, the GP isnt that dumb, they can easily remember the vocals to her greatest hits :mhm:
