I realllllllyyyy really hope they do. I'll be disappointed if they dont try to at least pretend the mic is on for an award show performance. Normally I wouldn't care if she just sat on stage in silence drinking a frap. I'd praise it and call it high art, but this is her first real award show performance in a long time and I want them to put real effort in.

In reality though... I'll be slayed no matter how it goes  :lmfaoo:

This seems to be the general consensus among stans and I agree. :britney-eeeek:  It's one thing during her POM shows -- and even that is uh  :eeek: -- but on national TV? No major pop star does that anymore, at least not a full set.  :uhno:

Like for real,it would be embarrassing as fuck if she lip syncs to 90's vocals on TV.

They need at least to fake it a bit.

:bigtime:

Britney has already confirmed this several times

I give two or more fucks if she lipsynches to her iconic, flaw-free recorded vocals. Be thankful she'll be performing out of Vegas and she hasn't done it for a long time  :zoomzoom:

This is why i can't stand this fandom sometimes. You guys ask too much :entertainme:

Although it'd be completely A-SOME if she sings live and slay those shitty news all around the globe tbh :queenflopga::trollney:

That's what i said in the other thread.. I'm not asking live vocals (although i'm not against it if she wants :pieceofwhat: ) but at least pre-recorded vocals. It's a fucking award show, plus it would be a joke to receive an icon award or whatever how it's called if she lipsyncs the performance just before like come on. If it happens i can already see people on twitter being like "Britney just receives the lip syncing icon award" or shit like that.

IDGAF tbh, I'm here for a flawless blend of 1998 vocals, 2001 vocals, 2003 vocals, 2008 vocals, and 2013 vocals  :fliph:

Godney is the Queen of offering not one single fuck; all of her epic and iconic performances have been lipped. If she pre-records, great. If she doesn't, I won't be surprised or upset. As long as she slays with flawless choreo, ass-shaking, and hair whips, I'm ready to be slayed  :sorrynotsorry:

gurl that's some mess made up fans on forums. Britney knows 100% well that she is lipping and she don't give a fuck

lol my bad :gloria:

i think it was back in the DWADT days when they started the backtracking over her mic :mhm:

Who cares what trolls say tho?  :zoomzoom: As a fan, you should know that Britney has lipped her entire career - every VMA performance has been 100% lipped, aside from about 30 seconds in 2000 when she did Satisfaction. All of her Billboard performances in the past have been lipped, her Grammy performance was nearly all lipped to CD vocals... need I go on? BRITNEY IS THE QUEEN OF LIP SYNCING. Vegas is 100% lipped, FF was 99.9% lipped with only occasional 'ouuuus' thrown in, Circus tour was 99.9% lipped (INCLUDING FREAKIN' SPOKEN WORDS DURING THE BOYS INTERLUDE), Onyx was 98% lipped with her only occasionally doing Everytime & Shadow live, and even during DWAD she was lipping the ballads.

People have called her out for lip syncing since 1999 and it hasn't affected her icon status at all  :bomt:

tbh I'd be here for them pressing play on that new megamix and letting Brinti do ha thang  :idc1:

There is a huge difference between lip syncing one brand new single (some of them were even performed before the song was out, like Slave or Gimme more  on the vmas) and lip syncing a medley of your very well known greatest hits which some of them were out like 17 years ago , and especially when it's your first real performance in an award show since 9 years and the last one was a disaster and that you will even receive a special award.

And it's not even about what people think, it would be just ridiculous imo, it look already stupid on POM when she lipsyncs on her old vocals, it would be worse for the bbmas. Sorry if i want the best.

I understand your train of thought, I just think as fans we should know by now what to expect. Britney doesn't give a fuck. Like I said, I'd be happy to hear pre-recorded versions of the songs... but she goes out every night in Vegas and lips to the 1999 vocals, just like she has her entire career - so why would she change that now? Beyonce has been to the show, Katy has been to the show, Miley, Gaga, Selma, etc. They all know that Britney doesn't give a fuck. No one is watching Britney live to hear her vocal runs, they're watching her to see stage presence, slayage, sexuality, and choreography. The GP knows that she is the Queen of Lipping, and it doesn't make a difference whether it's a new or old song, it's always equally obvious.

Oh but i agree with you on that, i know what to expect and i'm 99% sure we'll have lip synced vocals , but it doesn't make it less embarrassing and doesn't change the fact that i would like pre-recorded vocals, that's all.

It's just that for once since a long time i would like if everything would be perfectly done  :crying3:

I don't see it as embarrassing, I guess that's where we differ. But I get what you're saying. Honestly as long as Britney brings it, I don't care what the audio track is. If it was pre-recorded like some of the FF vocals, though, a lot of the GP could indeed be tricked into thinking parts were live. When we saw FF a lot of my friends said they couldn't believe how much of it was live  :lmaolol:

But even in Vegas my cousins thought Everytime, Perfume and the opening of Toxic were live  :zoomzoom:

Tbh they should just get Myah to do some random pre-recs that they could put under the original track and make it sound like she was live.

It's super easy to fool people with dubbing.

:zoomzoom: Or Britney could just do them herself?
