I wouldn't be surprised if some songs like Baby and Toxic got back on the iTunes charts after the performance, it wouldn't be the first time that an old single randomly gets resurrected 

But yeah, even if she doesn't perform the new single this whole thing will bring attention to Britney, and that will definitely help the song! But I'm still pretty sure that she'll also perform it, I mean, she has to, she wouldn't get off her couch in the middle of a POM break if it wasn't to promote her lead single

I think it would be a fun promo. Something to get people psyched about Britney in general, without it all feeling like a vehicle for her new single.

 

Then people would be like, WOW Britney's on FIYAH, what's she up to, when's her next single? And the B Team can release the date, maybe the artwork, radio stations can start plugging it, people would be looking forward to the release.
