If the album isn't ready, it would be stupid to release a single and make us wait months for everything to get finalized, or risk continuously pushing it back. She's receiving an award and performing a medley of hits - either way that's promo and it will raise her profile. Y'all are so ungrateful.... would you rather her not perform at all because the album isn't ready? We have been told from as soon as the award / performance was announced that it was a greatest hits medley.

She worked on the album since like 2 years already, i believe she has enough great material. She should give herself a deadline and when that deadline comes she stops recording more songs otherwise it will never end. Your taste, opinions etc.. change with time, if it's always pushed back it will never be out at this point. Also you don't tease people saying it's coming "soon , very soon" if in fact, it won't come until 2086.

And we all know Britney doesn't want to promote and will rarely do awards shows anymore or even just performing on tv, so it's just a missed opportunity as usual, and that is what annoys me here.

She's not 'stuck in Vegas' all summer, though. She starts on June 17 and is off from July 13 - August 17, which is OVER A MONTH. If the album comes during that time, there's plenty of room for promotional efforts. She literally only has 6 shows per month anyway... some of y'all just think without speaking and get too damn worked up over false rumours. Her team is keeping her name out there with V Magazine, this performance, etc. Even when she doesn't have a damn single out she's doing stuff for us, and all you guys can do is complain.

Yeah but knowing her, she would just want to spend time with her kids on her days off since they will be out of school already, which is fine, but my point is, is that she hates doing promo and I doubt her team will schedule her any performances on talk shows

This fanbase is such a mess. Didn't everyone say they would direct their anger at robin, yet here they are bitching about team Britney/Britney one again :icantt:

Nothing will take away my excitement for HER PERFORMANCE which is what everyone else should be focused on, instead of rumors and bullshit

You have every right to be annoyed,  but honestly you have no one to blame but yourself. Spending every day on a forum and believing all the tidbits of news you get make you more susceptible to being upset.... no artist sets deadlines for themselves, nor should they. That's silly. They said VERY CLEARLY last year that she was working on singles, not an album. She never mentioned an album + new music until a few months ago. If her creative juices are flowing and she's recording great stuff, I'd rather wait. We're insanely lucky that Britney even puts out as much music as she does. We got two singles last year (whether everyone liked them or not...) + a revamped (and improved) Vegas show, and now she's doing a performance on a live awards show. We should be grateful. Many artists take a LOT longer to produce music and with nothing to hold them over in-between. Katy Perry hasn't released an album since 2013. Gaga hasn't released a pop album since then, either. Britney works hard all year 'round, and when she's ready to put out the album, we'll be ready.

BTW, i bet Timothy will talk very soon once he reads this news and will come up with some news he heard from his imaginary contacts :lollipop:

For someone who's so salty w/ insiders you sure do put a lot of stock into what they say, otherwise you wouldn't be bitching about this right now. The only reason anyone thought a single was coming was because of UNRELIABLE insiders. And yes, Timothy has actually been more accurate in the past than Robin Leach. Everyone should have known better than to believe Robin after his 2013 "news", which was consistently wrong dates given for the Vegas announcement, an incorrect album title, AND saying that she was performing Work Bitch in the desert. He also provided wrong info on the PG Billboard performance last year.

First you're wrong, the reason people believe a single was coming is first because Britney said it would come "soon, very soon" , that was -i think- in february, and even if in Britney's language soon mean months, "very soon" isn't in like 10 months or something so at this point anyone could believe it would come out any time. Even before Robin statements lot of people thought it would be out around march/april/may with the album for summer.

And just in case you didn't understand, it's not the fact that we may not have the single anytime soon that i'm upset, it's the fact they won't use the BBMA opportunity to release it and they will most likely release it when all hype is dead as usual. So with or without Robin infos, i still would have believe it would come out around this time especially once we knew about the bbmas and i believe she wouldn't perform for nothing, because that's just what makes sense to me, and i still would have been upset anyway if it didn't happen because for the 1000th time, it's a missed opportunity.

Before anyone blames Team Britney or Britney herself, everything we have heard has come from third parties: news outlets and so called insiders. Britney's team have confirmed nothing. That being said I call their bluff on this and I still believe we are getting it next Friday. :)

THANK YOU. I don't believe SHIT until I see it on Britney's Twitter. Jesus, peeps getting worked up over nothing, raiwsing their blood pressure and getting mad.

Again, that's all your fault. Britney saying "soon" doesn't somehow automatically point to May 20th :zoomzoom: When the BBMAs were announced, both Billboard and Britney herself said it was a performance of her hits, which is standard when someone received a career-achievement award. If the single / album aren't ready, then why would she perform something new? They're not going to rush out a single just because of the award show if the album isn't ready. Of course I'd love a new song for the BBMAs, but we never had real reason to believe that that was ever happening, aside from the word of unreliable insiders. Britney has done nothing, so you guys blaming her is just stupid and childish. There's no such thing as hype dying down, I don't know where y'all get this from - you all said the same thing when we didn't get a single immediately after V Magazine. When the era starts, it will start, and people will be excited no matter what... we're lucky that she's doing these kinds of things in the meantime, because she could just do nothing.

Everyone calm your tits lol. Q2 for marketing and business makes sense for the single to release. So RCA can finish off the second quarter strong, with an album release in Q3 which starts July 1st. The single will drop with the whole album later in the summer....I promise. I work in Advertising/ Digital Marketing....this is how it will happen...they wouldnt release all of it in Q3.

I know it's me who believed that, i never said the contrary, i don't blame Britney for when i expected the single to be out.

But i have to say they never manage themselves to be able to take advantages of situations like these, especially when it's not happening everyday so it is kind of a big deal (even more since it's the first time since 07 she's gonna do full performance alone on award show). It's been months the single is done, the RCA rep said it himself since he made people listen to it, so she actually have the possibility to perform it whenever she wants now. About the album if that's the issue, it was 80% done months ago so it's not like there's still a lot to do and if they wanted it, they would and could finish it with no rush by focusing and working daily on it.

How do they "never manage to take advantage of situations like these" - she performed a new single on the BBMAs just last year :zoomzoom:

We know that Britney doesn't love performing at award shows, which is understandable. This is a big step for her. It never had anything to do with her team 'not taking advantage' in the past - they had her go out with Rihanna and Nicki Minaj in 2011. That was making the best of a situation. Her team takes a lot of flack for nothing... Britney is part of the equation, too. But this time it's all about the fans grasping at straws and wanting to believe everything they read. And it's not so easy to just 'rush an album', if Britney has producers she still wants to record with, that's two hectic schedules to organize. She isn't the only person involved.

When it's ready, it will be ready - I'd rather they do these things behind the scenes and say nothing until they know for sure, rather than her confirming things and then pushing them back or rushing to do something when it might not be as good as it can be (*cough BRITNEY JEAN *cough*) :happywalk:
