...but since it's mostly about JB I'm not linking it.

Anyway they are going on about JB's instagram rant about not taking pictures anymore and feeling like an animal at the zoo blah blah blah and they make the parallel between what they assume to be JB's impending breakdown and Britney's actual breakdown.

I think there are obvious comparisons but at the same time I feel like it's a completely different situation. What really struck me was at some point towards the end of the article the writer said something about how female stars like Britney are told to just stand there and do what's expected of them (look fab at all times and perform) while male stars like JB are mocked for having so many female fans and their acts of rebellion are usually expected but at the same time they're also supposed to be on at all times.

They mentioned how the breakdown aside, Brit's rejection of the image forced on her to some extent started around 2003 when she stopped looking put together on purpose and this actually continues to this day. And at the very end they said something female popstars who have breakdowns are expected to be saved by someone else while male stars are expected to figure it out themselves.

I say all this to say: wouldn't it be something if Britney reaches out to and ends up mentoring JB?  Not that it would happen, but that would be an interesting twist to the situation at hand for both of them.

I think that's just in society generally. Like guys having too many female friends, it's labeled. And vise-Versa it's all apart of societies game, where women need and will get support where males get put down and have to do it themselves :mhm:
