....is crazy to watch.. Now I love Christina, but if you watch these performances from the same day - you can see why Britney triumphed.. even Britney's live vocals were better(obviously I know Christina improved drastically after this).. check out the dancing, the performance, the energy.. it is like light and day... I miss live vocalney she slayed it.

Her label tried to make her Britney's competition but this just proves that Xtina was never meant to be the same kind of artist as Britney, it's just not her thing!

They are completely different artists tbh - Christina just looked awkward, I am glad she found herself.

Oh and btw, now that we're talking about this performance, I've always wondered if during Crazy you can hear Britney's voice over the track or if it's just the backing singers :disagreewitchu:

Yeah you can hear her - she is overshadowed by the backing vocalists though in the chorus - their mic levels are just simply too high...

Oh wow... What a snoozefest. I've never watched Xtina's early live performances. That was just bad and awkward. I like xtina and she has great songs, but she's always been weak what comes to performances.

And one thing I dislike too is her body. I know it's something that we shouldn't judge, but it looks like rubber and weird to me. (Gladly she doesn't look like that anymore), but it made me even more uncomfortable.

Britney is a performer, Xtina is a singer and an artist... Love them both, but listening to Brit only when i wanna chill out. Christina's voice is like a miracle and helps me everyday to go thorugh life.  Btw i like when britney is wearing something whitne :thirsty:

I think those assbutts have always done that to her on purpose- she was still singing with her real voice during performances most of the time, and the label I think was terrified of the discrepancy between what the singles sounded like live vs. recorded- which I've never understood because plenty of artists have throatier voices irl. I'll simply never understand what record labels are thinking. They used to try an pull shit like this on the Beatles and other artists who luckily managed to escape their control and bloom as artists reinventing and growing themselves- how it's meant to be.

I always wished for her body and wanted to be thin and lithe like that- when in reality I was built like Britney with the boobies and the muscular legs- and I would kill to get that body again!

So sick of reading shit like this. They're both performers. Both singers. Both artists. One being different to the other does not make one lesser. It's the same as idiots saying "she's an entertainer!!! not a singer!!!". Like WTF does a singer sing for? To bore people? No, to entertain. They're all fuckin' entertainers and performers, that's why they have a career in the entertainment industry.

It's so weird to see Christina performing like this with the headset mic & the dance routine :umomg:

You can tell they tried making her be like britney :tbh: because once homegirl came out she made it popular to be a teen popstar who dances and has routines like that.

Glad she found herself as an artist tho :yayy:

It was sad to see Xtina and Mandy Moore talents being wasted to emulate Britney, but I'm glad Xtina eventually came through that.

BTW, lol @ Jesse Eisenberg. Didn't know he was alive in 1999 :o

Even Britney sang just Sometimes live and then one yr old vox :gloria:

I enjoyed both performances, tbh. :yay1:  Christina Aguilera was clearly winded, and seemed to be dealing with nerves, but did a good job.  Britney sang "Sometimes" effortlessly and performed "Crazy" like a seasoned pro.

Nope baby. :4music: Artist (in this case I mean singer) is a person who makes his own music, who loves doing it, who got talent. Just like, you know, you don't need to look at special effects to feel like in a diffrent world. A voice is the most important thing. And Christina's voice takes you breath away even if she's just standing and got mic in her hand. Brit needs to have a couple of dancers, freaky costumes, lighting effects... You go to see her show not to hear how she sing (she doesn't sing anyway!) just to look at her... Can u imagine Britney sitting on a chair in a middle of the scene singing her songs? I personally can't.

Singer is someone who CAN SING.

Performer is someone who just makes a show.

And they both are parts of music industry.

And thanks for called my words a shit. Don't know ya, but see how smart you are. :2:
