Technical difficulties regarding MMO video shoot caused a delay in the single release

Yeah, but without an exact date, heck, even if they said a month and number, they can keep delaying it indefinitely. If this really is because of Justin Timberlake, I really doubt it's gonna be off the first spots of the charts by June or July. And with every month there's another artist releasing a single.

 

At the end of the day I don't care about the charts, and I can wait as I've been waiting all this time, but I'll be very pissed if just because they let this chance go of releasing the single now, and it "flops" when they release it later, when nobody's thinking about Britney, and when there's so much more competition than Justin, they end up scrapping any future single of the album just like they did with Britney Jean only because of Perfume's sad performance.

I swear if his troll movie single, whose movie isn't coming out for 6 months, is the only reason they pushed Britney back... 

 

i just hope that's really it and not that they decided to scrap the album to start over like FF. I enjoyed FF for what it was, but I want to get a project that Britney is passionate about and wants to release, whether it charts well or not. Because the music will speak for itself and after all these years, she should be able to release what she wants, not what she is forced to.

They want to release the album a month after the single release so it's definitely not coming in fall. She might shoot the video before POM & we could get the single & vid in July & then B9 in August.  It doesn't really matter if JT, Bruno or Xtina releases the same time as her they're not really threats to the competition. Right now we have JT, Beyoncé, Adele ..etc which is not really good for Brit of she wants to chart well

theres a lot of major competition right now not just with Justin & plus there's even more artists about to release more singles such as Adele, Beyoncé, drake..etc so maybe that's why they delayed it but then again we don't really know that & making assumptions. We all don't know what goes on bts, & I completely agree with u about not caring about the charts because I don't. It would be nice to see her on top again ngl

I know it's all a guessing game at this point but they probably did not anticipate such high competition. When Robin Leach announced the song, there was barely anyone out there and now we got Beyonce, Drake and Justin all dominating the charts. They'll probably wait until it all cools down. I am glad Robin wasn't informed about the new release date. We know the song is finished and we know the video is done (right?). They will now be able to drop the song much quicker and with less planning when the day feels right. People will be able to appreciate the song more when there's less to compare it to.

 

And to everyone crying about the wasted promotion opportunity, sure, it would've been great. But let's not forget that Beyonce performed at the Superbowl without any new material months before the release of her album and did just fine. The only concerning thing is everyone's attitude. I've seen so many fans already turn her backs on Britney and claim that they won't "support the song" because of something so petty... and that's just sad. Enjoy your day ya'll.

I honestly don't want to assume something just because we don't really know what's going on behind the scenes, but maybe her label lied to them and said "they're having technical production problems" just because of the competition out right now or maybe they had technical problems with the video that made them hold back as well. I'm absolutely fuming about it. Technical difficulties is just an excuse. If the song is ready why don't they release it? Or is there even a new single? Is this album going to become another Original Doll or Femme Fatale 1.0? Do they not want her doing something different and just want radio friendly hits? Will B9 be another unreleased album? So many questions... nothing is as it seems. And if it's because of the competition then that's rubbish. There needs to be a bit of competition. One or two artists cannot have a monopoly over the charts.

The trolls movie comes out in summer not in "6 months" and B9 is fine, they're just having a problem with the single release that's all things happen

It does seem Robin only gets little tidbits of right info and immediately runs with it.  This is why I laugh at "insiders" and everyone who believes them. I'll wait until Britney herself says something about it. I do believe it's Def coming in the summer tho

I don't know how many times I have to say this, Robin got his info directly from Larry. So he raised our expectations.  If he hadn't said anything to Robin we would never have expected the single to drop.

Sis you're being quite overly dramatic.. I don't get why your fuming if nothing was even confirmed by Britney & her team. Unless they said something then that's a reason to be upset but they didn't say one word at all. I also don't get why y'all are calling it "just an excuse". Were you there for yourself to see what was going on? No right? Things happen! We just have to learn to deal with it and move on . It's still coming either way. Britney still has the BBMAs coming up and she will be honored with the millennium award, we should be happy for her instead of being such cunts over something that happened which we don't know about .
