Being A Britney Fan Is So Disappointing!

First off I don't blame Robin. He was fed info by her team and he just reported on it. 

 

The issue here lies with the fact that they obviously don't have faith in the music. If its as incredible as they keep saying it is, and she has those 5 or 6 potential hits, why would it matter when they release the single? 

 

The truth is they're scared of any compeititon. Justin released his Trolls song and its doing really well, so they panicked and halted all release plans. And then they had the audacity to cite "technical issues" as the reason. Its tragic and no I'm not hyped for Sunday's performance. Its just going to be a rehash of POM 2.0 which I've seen enough of. This was the perfect opportunity to promote the new single and secure a good chart position + exposure and they missed it. Lame.

I understad that the "technical issues" thing might seems suspicious to people, but assuming that the reason behind the delay is the label being scared of Justin is just, I don't know, you don't have any evidence to say that. Besides, the BBMA's performance is not a missed oportunity at all, I actually think that it makes much more sense to do it now that the single is not coming yet! Think about it this way, this performance will give her attention from the GP since she's going to be doing the songs that made her famous and well known! Building up the hype before the actual release is really important aswell. I'm desperate for the single too, and sure, it would've been great to have it along with the tribute, but complaining and looking for excuses to say how this era is going to flop won't help either, we just have to wait a little bit longer, if we've endured all these years without anything I'm sure we can wait a month or two while we enjoy the fact that she's actually doing stuff worth paying attention to.

I can agree with that tbh, BUT if they release the single "during summer" i just hope they mean june. A release in the middle of summer would be the worse move because there will be summer hits already that will be played 527845242 times per day on radio, it's really not a good time to release it. That's why the may release was just perfect. So they better release it in june and find a way to perform it somewhere like GMA, Ellen or something else , i don't care if she's in Vegas, it's just 3 days per week so she has plenty of time.  Or wait until september, premiere the song with a performance at the VMAs, but ugh, i don't wanna wait until then.

I don't think the reason is a lack of faith in her music.....i think after BJ they are trying to do things right. They are probably also aware that Britney is only willing to do so much promo these days, which means that they have to be REALLY careful in orchestrating what little promo she does agree to do. That's what I think might be happening here.......yeah BBMAs is a huge missed opportunity, but we have no idea what they have planned down the line. It is us that have little faith is their strategies, rightfully so.

Yeah, I really hope she releases it on June, mostly because I want it as soon as possible but what you said makes sense aswell! And yeah, she needs to promote it somehow when she actually releases it, if they're going to delay it they better prepare an alternative promo plan because if they don't there would be no point at all!

Exactly ! If they don't take the BBMAs opportunity, they better find other ways to promote it and perform it when it will be released otherwise this whole mess is just pointless because it would have been better to release now even with competition than later but with 0 promo.

I get that you're disappointed, but being a Britney fan is NEVER DISAPPOINTING!!  There is a difference  And honestly you are a mess with all this Justin Timberlake talk and all of your negative threads in general!  No one is scared of Justin Timberlake's success.. His success is actually good for Britney because he is from her era in pop and ppl love them both. And a "re-hash" of POM SLAYS harder than you deserve tbh! You're assuming his "info" was "from her team" yet time and time again he's proven to give false information. He's no better than an insider and assuming anything he says is true and believable is your first mistake. Blaming team Britney is essentially the same thing as blaming Britney.
