Was WB really necessary?

Don't get me wrong cause I know y'all get mad for nothing here but I already said it even before the performance that I would have been surprised if WB was in the setlist and I still think that.

The performance was great overall,I literally cried of how good she looked but why was WB there she wasn't doing anything plus it's not even a big hit from her...

Oops I Did It Again instead would have been better imo.

I was gonna comment something like, "she slayed and yet you nitpick and find a reason to complain?" However, I'm assuming the tonality of your question is sincere and i will answer. Yes, it was necessary. Although Oops is a big hit of hers, it doesn't build up as Work Bitch does.. so no, as theatrics goes, Work Bitch was the better option.

WB is a great opener, that's why. But completely pointless if she isn't going to actually do any of the dancing parts. Wasted potential.

WB is one of her big hits because it's her most popular video on her vevo, most people know it and the entire performance seemed to be just the less well know hits so it was kinda meant to be there

Because of the lyrics and the pumping energy it was a great opener, but I agree, considering that the first verse of the song is one of my favourite choreographies of the show I wish she would've done it! The performance was still amazing tho

If she would have done the "here comes the smasha" it would have been a thousand times better, either way no complaints, I loved this performance and I kept screaming and crying the whole time.

I think she didn't want to rely on her bubblegum stuff and instead opted to do a more mature and sexy sound. But, yes, of course BOMT / Oops would have slayed. But the performance was great as it was. Like someone else said, WB has an amazing build-up.
