In case you had any doubts, Britney Spears showed up to the Billboard Music Awards tonight to remind us all that it is indeed still Britney, bitch. The Princess of Pop opened up the awards show with a medley of some of her greatest hits including "Womanizer," "Work Bitch," "Toxic," "Breathe On Me" and "I'm A Slave 4 U." The performance included a few quick outfit changes, some throwback "Toxic" choreography, pole dancing and even riding an electric guitar—in other words, Britney was treating us all to her best self.

Britney Spears: For those who haven’t made it to Vegas to see Britney Spears’ ongoing residency, the pop queen gave the audience plenty of reasons to book a ticket to Sin City. Of course, Spears was not just on hand to wow the masses with her medley, but also to receive the Billboard Millennium Award, which Billboard says is intended to “honor artists with exceptional achievements and influence in the music industry,” but is really just to give us all an excuse to bask in the glory of Britney.

The pop star took to the stage to give an energetic performance of some of her biggest hits including I'm A Slave 4 U and Toxic. But it was the mother-of-two's sexy red ensemble that really stole Sunday's show, as Britney put her toned abs on full display

But, as soon as the track's thumping bass came in, the superstar was ready to go and all nerves seemed to dissipate.Strutting down the platform it was clear she planned to do exactly what her song said and 'work'.And she certainly had the hot body she sang about too, ditching her saucy ring master look, Brit turned up the heat even more. The star even managed a backwards walkover mid-song, highlighting her perfect physique once again. The song saw her throw on a red feather bolero and do some very classic Britney dance moves in perfect sync with her dancers

The undisputed princess of pop, Britney Spears, opened the 2016 Billboard Music Awards this evening (May 22) with an explosive performance medley.

It was a triumphant return for an artist who once graced fans with that 2001 MTV Music Video Awards performance, and judging by some of the reactions of the crowd—Troye Sivan, Demi Lovato, and Zendaya to name a few—the Holy Spearit had blessed the audience indeed.

There will always be some negativity, especially on sites like Twitter on Facebook. But if the worst they can come for her is lipsyncing... then you know she did a fantastic job. Although some people are bitching, the media seems to be loving her performance and she's getting a lot of praise from the majority of outlets and that's amazing! I hope this will finally boost her confidence back and encourage her to do things like this more. Once she becomes fully comfortable again... then other pop girls will need to hide.

Britney Spears came to work b–tch, and she did it again. Alright, but seriously the queen of pop brought her A-game to the Billboard Awards on May 22 to open the show with one epic performance.

Britney Wows with Awesome Opening Medley. It’s Britney, bitch! Britney Spears lit up the stage with an epic medley of some of her greatest hits, as well as a few deep cuts from her 2003 album In the Zone. The 34-year-old looked sensational in a slew of skin-baring ensembles by Mark Zunino, showing off her amazing body and proving to the world she's still got it!

The 34-year-old pop icon opened the 2016 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with a medley of her greatest hits that completely brought the house down. Spears looked like her old self, nailing a series of impressive dance moves.

After Britney Spears finished up her opening medley at tonight's Billboard Music Awards, host Ciara asked the (mostly-rhetorical) question, "how amazing was Britney?" The answer to that (mostly-rhetorical) question is, quite frankly, ALL OF THE AMAZING. All of it!  Britney, the recipient of Billboard's big stakes Millennium Award, opened the show like no other, because she is Britney Spears and, quite frankly, there is no other! Her medley included a selection of her greatest hits, costume changes, shirtless hotties, and a pole dancing moment. What's not to love?!

People can complain about her lip-synching, but no one can say that she can't dance after that performance anymore! I'm not being biased, she objectively did amazing! Her moves were strong, precise, full of energy, and she was putting attitude and fierceness into every single one of them. To be honest, people who say she was bad or stiff or whatever are just blind haters that will never appreciate what a good performer is :oshit:

People Literally Can’t Get Over Britney Spears’ Amazing BBMAs PerformanceThe 34-year-old proved she’s still got it as she brought the audience to their feet with her electrifying performance.

http://hollywoodlife.com/2016/05/22/britney-spears-wins-billboard-millennium-award-2016/

The queen of pop kicked off the awards ceremony with an epic medley of some of her most popular tunes, including “Toxic,” “Slave For You,” and of course “Womanizer.” She totally slayed it in one of her first live TV awards show solo performances since her disastrous 2007 MTV Awards show appearance when she was at one of her lowest points in life. But how things have changed so much since then, as she rallied with a giant comeback to rack up so many more hits and launched a wildly successful Las Vegas residency that has been thrilling her fans since 2013.

Britney Spears’s Billboard Music Awards Performance Marks Her Triumphant Return to Live TV

http://mashable.com/2016/05/22/britney-spears-billboard-music-awards/#jh1MAyH5A8qW

Britney Spears opened Sunday's Billboard Music Awards with a medley of two-decades worth of greatest hits, from "Womanizer" to "Toxic," and reminded us — and probably even J.T. — that the early aughts were the best in fashion and music that Britney had to offer.

Watch Britney Spears hump a guitar in her killer Billboard Music Awards performance :lmaolol:Justin Timberlake, are you OK?  :whattt:

The mother of 2 looked sexy and confident as she worked through a series of complicated dance moves accompanied by a host of hunky dancers. Audience members at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena were also treated by Brit as she worked a pole like a boss and even straddled a giant guitar!

For those of you who have been missing Britney, she made quite the spectacular TV comeback at Sunday night's Billboard Music Awards.

Brit's hit-fuelled medley had EVERYONE talking at the BBMAs last night.

One of the most widely admired performers in the world - Britney Spears - had jaws on the floor last night as she performed an insane medley on stage at the Billboard Music Awards 2016.

If u became a fan of hers it's because of her discography, hot looks, and her dancing/performing/entertaining, not the singing LBR. The haters will always use the lipping because they're not and never were a fan of hers pretty simple. You know what you're getting and judging by her career I'd say she's done quite well for herself

If anyone ever tries to say something bad about this performance they're only insulting their own faves, because it's better than anything any of them have done in the last decade tbh :happywalk:

Last night saw Britney Spears make her first solo live TV performance in seven years when she opened the Billboard Music Awards, and it’s pretty safe to say that she killed it.

Britney's back. The Louisiana artist opened the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night (May 22) with a medley of some of her greatest hits, including "Toxic" and "I'm a Slave 4 U."

Well, Britney took to the stage on Sunday night to open the 2016 Billboard Music Awards to remind us all who she is, and she basically destroyed social media in the process. Celine Dion got the Billboard Icon Award and Adele was awarded top honors for her most recent album 25, but Britney Spears stole the show before it even began. Her performance to open the awards show was a medley of all of the big hits she performs in Vegas, and it was a seven-plus-minute rollercoaster ride that left audiences at the show and at home watching on TV with their jaws hanging open.

I loved it. I was very proud of the result i think she slayed it. But Today i saw the E! Entertainment instagram post and everyone had something horrible to say about her. That she looked nervous, stiff, that her face is so different and that she cant sing so she always uses playback. :(:(

Im so happy the critics loved it and overall the fans were happy too. She did add some new vocals, i just think back in the day like in the OIDIA tour she lipsang better (it always looked like she was actually singing and the pre recorded vocals were awesome), yesterday in some parts she wasn't singing in sync with the music, maybe that was the big part of the criticism. Anyways i feel very proud of her.

People have been bashing her since day 1, and overall every celebrity receives hate despite how good or bad they do on their jobs, it's just how it works, if you're famous you're gonna get hate. Britney did amazing and I'm sure that a lot of people realised that, it's just that the internet trolls tend to scream their bullshit so loudly that it seems like they're the only ones with an opinion, so yeah, we don't have to worry about that :)
