Trace Posted May 28, 2016 #3 Report Posted May 28, 2016 Because of a clearchannel radio ban in the US on Britney's singles that lasted from Slave to MATM. 2

Mrs Jared Leto Posted May 28, 2016 #5 Report Posted May 28, 2016 i see many vids comparing the us and the uk charts together and i am wondering if the uk charts are somehow relevant, you know what i mean? 1
sincio8 Posted May 28, 2016 #6 Report Posted May 28, 2016 She is not going well in the Uk in years, that's a fact! FF singles, on the other hands, were very successful in USA more than in UK. She is not hitting the #1 spot in the Uk in like forever 1
1kissgoodnight Posted May 28, 2016 #7 Report Posted May 28, 2016 singles are a bigger deal in the UK than the US. US is more album focused market. US radio often plays album tracks, and these can chart, this never happens in the UK 2

I've Just Begun Posted May 28, 2016 #11 Report Posted May 28, 2016 I can't believe how badly FF singles did here in the UK! They were constantly played on the radio... 1

OK, sorry then! I don't know, maybe because it's one of the biggest music markets and many known musicans/legends come from UK? but yeah, they should've compared other countries as well! 1
CIRCUS Posted May 28, 2016 #13 Report Posted May 28, 2016 some time ago I've noticed that UK has more chart entries, as well as the amount of number one singles per year, for example two years ago 38 songs topped the UK charts, while US got only 9 or 10 number one hits? my theory is that maybe their radios are more focused on adding new releases instead of playing the same songs over and over again or people get bored pretty quickly. 1

Ant 'Opz' Posted May 28, 2016 #16 Report Posted May 28, 2016 I actually didn't know Britney done better here in the UK for most of her singles. #Slay But UK has been flopping lately with Britney but I know my fellow Brits will LOVE Britney's new flawless look and attitude. Britney will drop that SMASHA and slay the globe. 1
InTheToxicZone Posted May 28, 2016 #17 Report Posted May 28, 2016 I can't believe "Do Something" was # 6 in the UK and I'm surprised how bad "I Wanna Go" did in the UK. 1
Storm Posted May 28, 2016 #18 Report Posted May 28, 2016 It kinda went downhill from the Circus era. The UK loved Britney but aside from the army of fans that grew up with her her solo material isn't really promoted around here. Radio 1 don't play her because they're all about c-beebies and her UK publicist team are awful (lol at Criminal being filmed here, getting political controversy and no promo even though X Factor was on AND she was in the country). She needs to promote to win back the UK audience but who cares about charting positions and sales at this point in her career as long as she is healthy and happy? 1
