Are we posting these on the main board?

 

Anyway, My first three or four singles reached #1 or 2 and suddenly I'm only getting in the 20's. I don't think I shared on Twitter this time but I don't have a very active Twitter. I have many friends. I was part of an active record label (just switched).

 

Anyone have any idea? On top of it all, my #1s only sold in the six figures, my last that peaked at #29 but I sold 3.3m. Is this the new normal now that so many more people play? wtf

It changes based on the time frame of the bracket your in, and how many people are in that bracket. 
If you go into at the beginning of it, with maybe 5 others, you are bound to gain pretty quickly, but as other people begin to join that bracket later on in the game, they will begin to gain quicker, as you begin to fall (you will gain more as you do your next single, and do the quests). They will pass you, so you will fall on the charts. Think of the bracket as a month, and every couple of hours, as a week.

You'll notice that each bracket is labelled "Bronze lll, ll, l, Silver lll, ll, l and Gold lll, ll, l - each is a level that you gain as you release more singles, the higher they chart, the faster you'll reach it.
If you are fresh off a single, and releasing a new one, both will get promoted & raise on their charts (as long as each bracket is still running), as soon as the bracket is over though, that is your final chart position (So the Final "peak" of your single is wherever it is, when the bracket ends, based on how many likes it gets), which is all about having a lot of friends, and people on your label, so that your single reaches the feeds of more people! Sharing on many sources helps too. Like Instagram & Twitter, Facebook.
Sometimes, you will even find yourself in a bracket with 1 or 2 people, and it's an easy #1. 

I'm on my 17th single, i'm in the Gold l Bracket, and these are my "peaks in order from first single, to latest" - 226, 5, 13, 12, 22, 7, 10, 5, 3, 2, 1, 1, 1, 2, 1, 2, with my current single sitting at #2, with 11 hours left of the bracket. 

Also, TOTALLY EXPERIMENT WITH GENRES. That's how you will find what's popular to get the biggest hits.

Thank you for that explaination! I understood most of it- namely it explains why my last singles have been Silver something or other and have peaked in the 20s
