Next Honorary Award: MTV Europe Music Award's "Global Icon" Award.

Britney has already received The VMA's highest honor, 1 of 2 of Billboard's highest honors, next on the agenda is the MTV EMA's "Global Icon Award" - Britney has a total of 8 EMA's. tied for 5th overall with 4 other artists. She is also tied with Madonna, for 6th most nominations of all time. The award is given to those who have established a worldwide fanbase, successful album/single sales in multiple nations around the world, and have sold outstanding concert tickets around the world, therefor establishing themselves as a worldwide act, and Global Icon. 

Established in 2010, MTV has award only 4 people with this award before, and they are:

2010 - Bon Jovi
2011 - Queen
2012 - Whitney Houston
2013 - Eminem
2014 - Ozzy Osbourne 
2015 - Nobody
2016 - BRITNEY SPEARS?

 

It has been 17 years since Britney performed on the Europe Music Awards, and yet, she has still  managed to win major awards from them (including Album Of The Year). To celebrate the launch of her new album/single, Britney should perform a medley of her Greatest Hits, plus new singles at an upcoming EMA ceremony, and receive this special honor! Yeah, actually if I'm not wrong the contract initially stated that she could only perform overseas because what she couldn't do was to do shows on America or near Vegas, I'm not sure, but since she already performed at the BBMA's we could say that the contract excuse is history

Ok, I re-read your post, I thought you were saying that she couldn't perform overseas. My reading comprehension is shit, sorry, my finals are messing my brain up 

Anyway, I think that what they meant with that is that inside America she could only perform in the Axis, at least that's what makes sense because I don't see the point of allowing her to perform at the T-Mobile arena if the money would be going to someone else, you know? That's why I think that they changed the contract, because if they hadn't changed it she probably would've performed on her POM stage again like last year, but this is just an assumption
