Don't believe or 'buy' everything people say or claim. Just because something was said does not mean that's the truth. Also, Work Bitch and Perfume are two completely different videos and different situations. Britney didn't have any issues with Perfume video, other people started meddling and ruined it. And there's no point in debating about the Work Bitch video. Them telling extra to cut out the little daddy issues joke proves how ridiculous and crazy they are. It was just a little joke comment, they are paranoid drama queens. "Omg she was kidding around and said she had daddy issues, have the tapes burned and make everyone sign NDA's!!" I'm not upset about the work bitch video at all because at the time she just didn't want to put certain things out there, I actually heard her say it in an interview. If you want me to list every single example of ridiculous behavior or incompetence displayed by Britney's team (again, not Britney, the people that work for/with her) I literally couldn't even do it. Many people have a say and influence in what makes the final cut, not just Britney. There are music labels involved and all sorts of things. I just find it funny that you're being worried about things getting cut (like knocking down a house..etc)  all of the suddenbut y'all literally wasn't saying anything before & just started bitching until u saw that video of her saying she didn't like it & calling them assholes. That's literally how all the meltdowns started. So don't even try to use that as an excuse and cover it up sis. I'm glad she cut out the raunchy scenes in WB. The video is a perfect mix of classy and sexy, but, never trashy. And that's the definition of Britney, pushing the envelope yet being adorable at the same time.

I'm upset we didn't get to see the whole video for Perfume. But, remember, the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

Hopefully they realise that Lachapelle is an incredible director and creator. I know Britney trusts him and he's created some incredible stuff for her and others. Whatever he says, goes. And whatever that is is 100% the right and appropriate choice.

At the end of the day, I'm glad she is willing to stand up and state her limits. The WB video is flawless - we didn't need whatever was cut. If she felt it was too much / too gratuitous, then I'm glad it ended up on the cutting room floor. The video is sexy enough as it is, it's not like we got some cutesy G-rated edit... there's still tons of sexy, suggestive stuff in it. Perfume is a bit more confusing to me. Brit has always taken risks in videos - she killed her cheating lover in Toxic, toted a gun in Criminal, etc. Obviously she approved whatever was filmed for Perfume, so it's a bit strange to me that her / her team suddenly had a change of heart afterwords.

 

I wonder if they were trying to keep things clean around the Vegas premiere? I really don't know... if anything, the original idea would have brought a bit of controversy and probably gotten her a lot of positive attention for an artistic video. 

 

But at the end of the day it's HER career, so the videos and music should reflect what she wants to put out there. She's taken a real vested interest in this era, so I think whatever the final product of the video is will be her vision. I'm content to see whatever it is that makes the final cut, as long as she's happy. They did a lot of different setups / scenes, obviously, so I think there will be a lot to choose from.

I had no issue with Joseph speaking his mind after, because as a director that's his prerogative.... but some of the blatant Britney rip-offs that made their way into his Taylor videos were just ridiculous. It's fine, though, because Taylor's videos will never touch the greatness of Toxic, Stronger, etc.
