Welcome back to another edition of ‘Discover Britney,’ where we highlight Britney songs that were not released as singles. This way, you can share a song a week with people that have not yet had the chance to hear flawless tracks from Britney’s albums. Spread the word!

If you are an avid Britney stan, you will know that almost every track from a Britney album (in an ideal world) should have been released as a single. So many people have been deprived of some of the most timeless tracks and we feel that they should be heard. Join Britney Galaxy on Spotify, where we will add one track a week to our ‘Discover Britney’ playlist. Your gym playlist is set for life!

NOW THAT I FOUND YOU

Let’s face it, the ‘Britney Jean,’ album has been given some seriously unfair treatment. Yes, the album did play it a bit safe and Britney is known for being extremely experimental when it comes to her releases, but the album is still pure pop perfection and includes many gems! Our first ‘Britney Jean,’ entry has to go to the ‘dance on the coffee table and jump on the couches’ number, ‘Now That I Found You.’

It is simple, if this song does no excite you, you have no pulse. The beat is reminiscent of Avicii’s, ‘Wake Me Up,’ a great mellow vibe followed by an unexpected ‘wake up’ country beat which will immediately get you on your feet. (Rhyme not intended- it just happened – we promise). With writing credits from David Guetta (which explains the irresistible beat) Britney herself and The Script’s Danny O’Donghue, it was inevitable that this song would end up a smash hit. The more you listen to this album, the more you realize how many songs have the ‘single’ potential, this being one of them. It is heart breaking to see the album promotion cut short with only two video treatments. ‘Now That I Found You’ is a club smash and should be a compulsory track to end off the night on every DJ’s set list. Ahh, you would leave the club floating on cloud 9 despite the socking images (that should be cut straight to a horror movie) when the lights come back on…

Best Lyrics: ‘On a shameless night in a nameless place, I thought that love was a hopeless case..’

Songwriters: Britney Spears, Danny O’Donoghue, David Guetta, Frederic Rieserer, Giorgio Tuinfort

Producers: Will.I.Am, Anthony Preston, Giorgio Tuinfort

Make sure to add our Spotify playlist, where we will add a new song every week!

Myah's vocals

Wake Me Up resemblance

The whole country-edm vibe :ewomg:

I don't know - I kind of love it... I feel if Wake Me Up was never released - this would have been a smash.. but it is difficult to differentiate the two now with the similarities... but it is by far the most commercially relatable song on the Britney Jean album..

If you wanted commercial success, the generic, hit potential Til It's Gone would have been the perfect choice. :bigtime:

It was also co-produced by Guetta.

Relatable lyrics without any gender attachments.

The dance community would have loved it!

And the production per se is way better than NTIFY. At least TIG has a second verse :ipass:

Don't love BJ in general, but this was one of my faves on the album. Heard it the first time driving home in the morning after my third shift job, so every time I hear it i see a sunrise and imagine myself driving 80 down the highway towards home. <3 It def has a special place in my heart.

Also I like "Wake Me Up" and own Aloe Blacc's album lol.

This was a song that featured pretty strong lyrics in the verses.  I just wished they flushed out the song some more instead of rushing through the production. I looooovvveeee the bridge "all my life I've waited for this day I've waited for you now I adore you..."
