Maybe because team Britney thinks we're gonna do all the work promoting it like with word of mouth but we're all waiting to see what's next. :yaknow: we're all waiting for the music video or for her to make an appearance or something. what happened to Sony asking us to follow their twitter for whatever was about to come? :waitWAT: Sometimes it's like they don't realize they have to promote something for it to be #1. We all know about B9 but they need to go after the GP if they want it to be successful :ashley:

This is a test and the reality of her position in a music industry right now. She just simply release one good song and it can no.1 itunes around the world, decent streaming, youtube view and debut top 20. That mean beside fan, people still check for her but the 2008's time is over. She can not outsell everyone base on her name alone. She needs to get out there and promo HARD.

Even some it girl right now like Beyonce or Taylor still keeping create buzz, publicity stunt to stay in spotlight  even they doing fine with their career.

It's not 'free falling', im honestly surprised it's still top 10. But at the same time you can't expect a song to stay on the top without support behind it. She didnt even make 1 single interview or release the video. Let the promo happen and then we'll see. Imo she should release the video this week and start interviews. Then appear at some events (if they are some) for exposure, perform at the vmas etc. They should have waited august to release the song imo but those damn leaks..

What upset me is her team tho they really should start to make promo on internet like ads or something like that, maybe teaser of the video as youtube ads, i don't know. I cant at how cheap and useless they are. My best friend wasnt even aware a new song was out until i talk about it to her yesterday so..

The only ads I see for it are on the Britney American Dream game :ashley: like if you're playing that game then you are a stan and you already know about the song like I can't with them. When will they learn? :waitWAT:

It's been out for FIVE FUCKING DAYS. Y'all need to relax. It's growing on radio + streaming platforms, and it's natural to fall a bit on iTunes. All the songs ahead of it have massive radio play and streams (aside from Katy who is selling on name alone + the olympic tie-in.) Team Britney obviously wants this to be a grower and have longevity, rather than just letting it explode out and disappear.

I'd much rather have "Make Me..." gradually become a hit verses be front loaded and fall off after a week -- a trajectory all of her lead singles take. (Frankly, I was surprised she hit #1 as quickly as she did.)  If not, I'm happy with the critical acclaim she has received with this single, never has any of leads garnered this much praise out the gate.  Stop tracking her position on iTunes, focus more on the positives, and just enjoy the music.  :bomt:

Sweetie make sure u know the definition for free falling before you use it. It's not considered free falling if she's literally been in the top spot for a few days & she's now barely at #14. she still has yet to release the video & do promo so she'll definitely be back in that top spot in no time. She's literally the #1 most added artist on radio & her streams are doing amazing

1) can you all just stop acting like you're the fucking CEO of her record label and need to worry about sales figures and quarterly profits.

Instead, Just fucking ENJOY THE MUSIC.

2) There has been no promotion, no interviews or anything, so I'm not sure why anyone is suprised.

3) IT'S BEEN 5 DAYS.

4) Britney has nothing to prove. shut up about sales and figures and just listen to the tunes and relax. fucking hell
