There's no more downplaying this mess or trying to defend it: Britney puts out one of her best ever songs and I would argue the best pop song of 2016 so far, and it's not doing nearly as well as it should be in streams, sales and charts. It was already shamefully late (it's coming in March! Now April! She's premiering it on the BBMA's! It's coming in June!) and now the video is another mess (it leaked, and now apparently it's been scrapped or LaChappelle wants his name removed from it). 

Is there no accountability here? No consequences for anyone? No one is getting in trouble or demoted? If that's the case, that's fucking crazy! They can get away with anything smh

I don't see how the video has been scrapped when the description Britney gave today fits perfectly with everything we've seen so far.

What the hell are you expecting? Britney and her girls to be sitting at a table judging the guys as they walk through the door or smth? idts.

 

All the seemingly random scenes we've seen so far ARE the auditions. Which makes perfect sense because none of them seem connected in any way and then there's the leaked part where they call "cut" on the shoot, and the footage of Britney screaming "I don't like it" at the dancers before she destroys the house with the excavator.

 

The plot for the video made NO sense whatsoever until now.

Nobody has really described the video at all and barely anything has actually leaked from it. lbr, I'm sure all those people had a limited amount of footage rather than the whole video, which was leaked by Britney's team to create a bit of hype because they're too lazy to actually get out and promote the song themselves.

The 1 thing I know about Britney's people is that their single goal is to make money, and they know that leaking low quality clips from the video will not result in more money being made. The only people that even know it leaked are hardcore Britney fans
