Is it just us, or does Britney Spears' latest project just make you go "ooh?"

In case you missed the big news, the pop superstar released the music video for "Make Me" Friday morning. The steamy clip features the 34-year-old and her dancers hosting an audition to help find the perfect love interest. Oh, and did we mention that every contender is a shirtless stud?

While the video is already getting thousands upon thousands of views, there's one detail that didn't go unnoticed by loyal fans. When E! News stopped by the set of Britney's project in June, the video was being directed by David LaChapelle. In addition, the "Piece of Me" singer shared behind-the-scenes photos of the shoot on Instagram.

But in the final product released today, the director turned out to be Randee St. Nicholas. And that outfit we saw on social media? It's not featured in Friday's video. So why the surprise change? A source told E! News that there were simply "creative differences."

Mean while Make Me it's having bad updates on iTunes. The Music Video it's having Zero impact on iTunes.

The song is done.

The video killed it.

And you know what? some fans on here are fine with that!

Some fans have basically said that they are OK with this level of quality for MV's this era.

And that's what they will continue to get, but its going to have a negative impact on all aspects for #Glory.

If they think this video will help the single chart or album go #1...

The only way it will impact Glory is if we all act like it's shit and they decide not to put anything else out. If we demand more what she's giving us  she will keep giving us more. If we demand more of what she doesn't want to give us, she won't give us shit! It's common sense and I would think people would have learned this from the BJ era! We can't control what she gives us and tbh we should just be happy there is a new era at all she could have retired tbqfh

It's very clear Britney was unhappy with the original version and people need to respect that. The one we have now isn't the greatest, but it's not the worst either.

Except it's the worst MV of her entire career...:loldisidiot:

Britney's songs have been hits mainly due to the music videos, not the song itself

let's see how this goes

Well on iTunes the MV is having on the song zero impact. It's decreasing in fact.

It's true though. Gimme More was a disaster but it fits the whole era and the song tbh. Ooh La La is fine for what it's meant to be. Radar at least is cohesive and well edited. Hell, even Break The Ice at least had decent animation. 8 years later and they can't even simulate a TV screen realistically.

Everything about MM is a mess, the "acting" and "story" are pathetic, the editing is amateur, the product placement is ridiculous. It's DREADFUL.

I can't take anything you say seriously if you really think break the ice is better than this.

Sis I'd rather watch the Perfume MV on loop than this garbage. :shook:

Of course it is. Like I said, it had decent animation and at least it's cohesive, slick and polished product. As a filmmaker and editor myself, all I can do is cringe watching how poorly MM is thrown together.

I will admit that make me could be better, it's not her best but it's definitely not her worst.

Yeah, gimme more fit the messy era but that doesn't mean it's a good video, it's not. There's no story other than Britney on a stripper pole. and as much as this fanbase loves "slutney" we were ALL disappointed with it at the time. Radar is good for horse porn, where's the dancing? It was a commercial for Candies. Hold it against me makes me sick with all the quick editing and it killed what was otherwise an amazing video. Do I even have to mention perfume? There's been a million missteps throughout Britney's career, but make me is definitely not the worst.

Britney refused to shoot certain scenes for HIAM and they put a body double in there instead. The fans called her horrible names. It's what this LOT does. So Lately, Britney has shot the scenes but fights against them after release. This time she shot a whole new video. The fans just say horrible things about her a large chunk of the time. I think she has to know by now that the fans aren't really there for her. She might as well release something she feels comfortable with.

I don't believe it's all Britney's fault tho. She looked like she was having an amazing time shooting MM. For all we know the c-ship could still have an effect on stuff like this, if her lawyers and that see it and think it's too raunchy etc.

She only refused to shoot scenes for HIAM because she didn't want to get paint on her. And what about the TTWE dancing double? FF era was a mess and Britney is at least involved with her work now. :frenchy:
