We are the most ungrateful fan base ever. Can we all just like relax and just enjoy whatever we get at this point? Because Britney doesn't need to be doing this, she could retire if she wanted to and she probably does sometimes. You can tell by how she goes off to Hawaii with her boys instead of promote like she used to in her prime. I'm just so glad we're getting this flawless album at all, and whether or not we get promo and more music videos directly depends on our feedback.

I know we are all entitled to different opinions but all this complaining is really stressful tbh. The music video may not be "iconic" or "legedary" but it's cute and hot and fun, and it's not just her laying on a bedroom mattress like Perfume. Just be grateful, because at the end of the day the music is HERS and the artistic vision is HER prerogative. If this is how we're going to react to everything just because it's not pushing any envelopes then maybe this is the last era or even the last music video we will get.

i agree with you

however, fans are the ones putting in the money for merchandise, concerts, albums, etc., and investing in her to keep her in the industry doing what she loves.

just because she says "jump" we don't have to say "how high?", it's ok to disagree with something especially waiting for almost 3 years and were promised something good and turned out to be a flop

That might have made sense during the BJ era, but that era was proof that we are not gonna get our way by complaining and demanding them to change their mind or their strategy. And it's kind of offensive to Britney, who probably doesn't care at all about staying in the industry or not. She's doing this FOR US, so that we get new music like we want. and the music is flawless.

And the video is only a flop because everyone has convinced themselves that it's not good enough. Maybe if we never knew about the original video, everyone would be praising this one.

PREACH! People think they're being helpful by being dramatic and negative and they're not. There's a reason Britney Jean died with perfume, and it has everything to do with ungrateful fans. Should we be kissing Britney's ass because she bothered to give us a video? No, and you don't HAVE to like it. But all the unnecessary hate and overdramatic babies is what will kill this era. You can voice your dislike for something without being any of those things, and that's what a lot of people STILL don't understand. I think we can all agree the video isn't what we were expecting, and I think we all can agree she looks amazing in it. It's not the best she's ever done, but it's also not the first time the lead single/video wasn't her best. If you're only here for success, see yourself right out. I'm here for Britney. The happy Britney I saw in that music video.

They're a bunch of toddlers with soiled diapers and misplaced binkys, so good luck trying to stop or control this tantrum!! I'm not happy with the video myself but since I'm a big girl, I'm gonna say I'm disappointed, then suck it up and move on with life.

Its a shame that there are more children than adults on here!!

I get what you're saying, but we were promised one of the most epic videos of her career and what we ended up with was an audition video which looks like it was filmed for a charity single. Of course we're gonna be disappointed. This is clearly not how things were meant to turn out, the music video we got was one that was settled for rather than the original vision and it's very obvious. Even if this was the original video concept, people would still be disappointed, she's not even the focus of the video for her own lead single ffs :crying1:

Britney never promised us anything and she is entitled to change her mind if she's not comfortable with what was originally produced. It's her image we're talking about, it affects her life!

To what point does she have to keep trying to impress people? She just wants to have fun now. Maybe this concept was 100% her idea and she had a lot of fun shooting it. She has nothing to prove anymore

She showed us pictures from the set of the video and filmed in a public place. I agree that Britney can change her mind if she wants, but we have every right to be disappointed if she does so

she doesn't if she doesn't wanna have big success, but every artist has always something to prove if they wanna further up their career or keep it stable instead of just dwelling in the past alone.

They should delete all the thread and create 1 complaining thread because seriously it's tiring to see the same subject everywhere. And i get that some people are frustrated but this is way too much over reacting, it's just a video. We still have the album coming, other singles, we'll have an amazing performance at the iHeart Festival, maybe the VMA's too (a lot of you were dying for it btw,) , the carpool karaoke and who knows what else, and people act like the era is over just because they didn't have the fucking video they wanted (which will probably leak on top of that). I can't with some people. You don't like it, fine, but stop the dramas for god's sake. Forget about it and think about everything great that is coming i don't know but just stop.

Too many delusional bitches on this forum. They're like those women who get beat up by their partners and keep going back to them saying 'it'll be different this time' and it never is. You deserve all of the garbage videos that she throws at you tbh... :zoomzoom:

I hate to say it, and this is the first time I think i've said it EVER in the past 18 years of Britney - the meltdowns this time are warranted - I personally cannot defend what happened with this release.

This a forum where people should feel free to express their feelings about their queen, this is not a "praise all" kinda place. If people feel disappointed they should be able to express that. We all get it, we never wanted to be in this position but whatever. Shit happens

I apparently came back to Universe at a very emotional moment. Even though this is my first post in a LONG time, I had to say something regarding the controversy of the Make Me Video. I understand the disappointed fans, the video is cute but not what the song is really about. It is underwhelming, actually. But I also understand that shit happens. Im not gonna sit here and say everyone should stop having meltdowns, this site was made for not only praise but opinions on all things Britney and the good will always be met with the bad.

But guess what? We simply move on after this. That's right. Just let it go and see what the rest of this era has in store. I'm not so mad because Britney did say she was going to do something different this era and we got something different. Whether it's a good thing or bad thing is not the point. Britney released her most different lead single and released her most different Music video ever. She kept her word, that this era is going to be different and not what we expect it to be.

Again, I understand the meltdowns and I agree it's an underwhelming video, but I'm cool with it cause everything is exactly how Britney said it would be. Different and Unexpected. All we can do is vent our feelings for the time being and move on to what the rest of the era has in store cause this era will be nothing but different and unexpected moments for the BArmy, be it good or bad.
