I have been saying this in a bunch of threads now.

 

The 2nd single has to be amazing and has to come out before Glory now. They shot themselves in the foot with this horribly edited, rushed mess of a video.

I'm sure they shot enough footage of Britney singing and dancing along, so they should release a full length commercial that can also act as a music video. At least it's Britney's own product and not a bunch of random shit. Private Show is flawless and she looks incredible in the footage and it'd get the bad taste out of my mouth from this MM mess. I think it'd get more views than MM too.

Private show won't save this era. I really like the track but unless she's got some kind of Gimme' More, Piece of Me and/or Toxic level next level track that they are going to rush release before the album drops say hello to top 5-10 album debut with (50,000-100,000 sales) - the MM video has officially killed the hype.

 

But if they got some other tricks up their sleeves like a new single planned for the week before the album drops - curious fans might push the album in to top 3 territory.

 

Because no amount of promo is gonna help an adult sounding sexual r&B pop song that has a disney channel video

I don't expect it to save the era, but they need something else to distract from the MM mess. PS is already out there and it's getting a good reception, so why not release a video for it? It can only help promote the album a little more.

Eh, a lot of artists release multiple videos / singles at once these days. Britney and her team's problem is they can't keep up and are stuck in the old ways. And since PS would still be a commercial it wouldn't look that messy IMO. Just make a full length version of the commercial we already have.

Well since Make me is dead already and the album is around the corner, what do you think will happen?

I think they should get her to collaborate with some dj like Calvin Harris or some of those who had a hit recently to get some attention because lbr no one is checking for her. She needs to record something that appeals to EVERYONE, catchy and with good lyrics. If that doesn't work, well she's done lol..

 

And thinking about it, whatever she chooses as 2nd single (if there is any) is going to have a really cheap video since they wasted money with 2 videos for Make me.

As long as we still get the album on the 26th, I couldn't care less tbh. The fact that they released that utter tripe of a video suggests that they just don't give a fuck about quality anymore, so I'd rather they not tarnish her otherwise flawfree legacy with more garbage videos. As long as the album is good quality I'm good, but I won't be stanning hard this era.

No, it's an instant grant. Singles are never really given away for free like that.

 

I honestly really doubt it. There's no way they'll release the second single BEFORE the album comes out and once it's released and flops, the label will have no incentive to invest further. Especially after they already wasted so much money on her.

There has to be a 2nd single. It's contractually required on almost all standard record deals. 

 

Personally I think some of y'all are overreacting big time. It's one slightly shitty video. Big deal. Watch it and Move on. A music video does not end an era.

There will be another single tbh. I'm just hoping that if Private Show does get an offical music video that it wasn't filmed along with the commercial. The PS commercial and MM video are like identical aesthetically and I want something fresh
