I think that's specific to streaming, and online (but I could be wrong, since all the songs are on spotify)
Physical album sales would be completely different.

According to Amazon the physical copy is release Aug 26th as well! What a silly thread to have when it could just be googled in a few secs..

I googled some physical stores in my country and they don't have it listed yet, hence my question. Thanks for answering

Yes they will be out August 26, they hold the CD's weeks to days in advance  and then the day its released they stock them on shelves!

I believe the "deal" with Apple Music is that whenever Brit releases a pre-release single, it's exclusive to Apple Music for a few hours. I couldn't find "Clumsy" anywhere for over three hours yesterday. On Tidal I couldn't stream it until around 3:30 a.m. - it said "song is currently unavailable". 

 

I think the album will be released universally on August 26. It wouldn't make sense to release it exclusively to Apple Music the first week because the sales will be very low if people just stream it. In my opinion, it would be appropriate to release it only CD and only on Apple Music for streaming for a few days, or even a day early. This way it won't hurt sales and Britney can do a deal with Apple Music.

On Amazon in the UK they didn't list the physical copy until a few days ago but it will be released on the 26th still

Yes the physical is being released the same day. I think the confusion with the term 'Apple Music' is that the name is basically replacing 'iTunes'. The insta post was confusing because it seemed like it was going to be a streaming exclusive or something, but it's available everywhere. You can preorder the deluxe edition on Amazon, and the mp3 version will be there too.

See I never got why Apple pushed "iTunes Store" as Apple Music - it's too separate things. 

 

iTunes Store (still exists btw) lets you actually purchase things.  Apple Music is streaming. 

I believe the real reason is because it's released on both iTunes and Apple Music at the same moment, being the only two ways people can buy Britney's pre-order singles for about three hours. [Which is a good plan, even if it's just for Britney fans, because as much as I would like to buy it on TIDAL only (for AIFF quality), I've preordered the album on iTunes because I don't want to wait three hours to hear the new song. I also do this because I like to send it to foreign Universers so they don't have to wait days/hours/etc.]
