Random thoughts about Britney and new era!

I've been MIA (just in case no one noticed)   but I've been keeping up with Britney and making her part of my everyday life by:

 

1. listening to her in the car on my way to and from work   I start with either Make Me or Private Show and then turn it into a radio station for the rest of the drive.   I've been really annoyed tho because apple music keeps playing irrelevant shit like Christina Aguilera like  does the algorithm assume that if you like Britney you like Christina too? Just.. NO, the exact opposite tbh  there's a special place in hell for people who shade Godney and Xtinctina is VIP.

 

2. At first listen I hated Clumsy but it's grown on me after a couple more listens and I love it tbh! my first impression of it was that it had a "Chillin Witchu" quality to it  but it really doesn't. the instrumental is actually faded and cool and I love the lyrics once I really listen to them. I could do without the random part in the middle/towards the end where the beat changes randomly, and I'm not a huge fan of the "oops" but I've grown to like the song itself  I like Make Me the best, and then Private Show and Iike Clumsy  I CAN'T  WAIT FOR THE NEXT SINGLE TO BE JUST LOVE ME YAAAS!! I love how it sounds like some of ha unreleased stuff. Slow and Melodic and synthized and angelic!

 

 

3. This album is shaping up to be as good if not better than iconic Blackout!!  Blackout 2.0 TBH! I prayed so hard for an album that sounds like this. But the songs are all so different so far, from each other. I wonder if we can compare each song to songs she has recorded in the past . Let me know whatchu think each song sounds most like I'm really curious  

 

4. Lastly, I've been MIA because I have been working a lot, but tbh I felt like it was starting to turn into Exhell in here. Have the meltdowns, shading and drama died down?

1. I haven't been on here long enough to know you, but I hope we come to know each other well soon.  Also, Apple Music stations are worse than any other. I would rather listen to Spotify ones and they never play the artist you start a station on. 

 

2. Is any other Britney song as bad as Chillin' With You?  

 

3. BETTER than Blackout?  Never tbh But Britney has really improved this era! I know it'll be one of my favorites!!!  

 

4. I haven't noticed many, at least in the sections I've looked at... My advice is to not look at the help/feedback section

I feel like Britney and Christina moved on with whatever tension they had in the past and i blame their teams and the media for pitting them against each other like they did because they're different artists who have unique sounds with their own sets of strengths and weaknesses. I also place some of that on the two of them for not being mature to publicly ignore the "rivalry" in the first place but they were young so it is what it is. That being said it makes sense the algorithm plays christina behind britney because they tend to do songs that are similar in terms of beats per minute, themes and tonality.

Clumsy was great on first listen for me and its experimental in composition so I appreciate it.

None of what she's released so far compares to anything else she's put out because she's just doing different stuff this time around so off the top of my head I can't think of what to compare this to. It's also probably best to enjoy it for what it is.

The drama is over for now same as it always was before because the moderators cleaned up the boards it seems and people probably got tired of being "mad".

My random Britney thought for tonight...

 

In 2001, Britney and Jennifer Lopez (along with many other big artists at the time) collaborated on a song called 'What's Going On' (a Marvin Gaye cover).

 

In 2016, Britney and Jennifer Lopez (along with many other big artists of this time) collaborated on a song called 'Hands' (an original Justin Tranter/Julia Michaels song).

 

FUNNY THINGY! J.Lo and Brit Brit both sing lines right after one another in both songs! (Random tee hee hee hee )

I think this album might be the best in her career.

Blackout was decent for me. Never really liked it. The OVERUSE of autotune made it sound cheap.

This one sounds waaay more artistic so far!!!

I don't think Glory will be Blackout 2.0, it'll be Original Doll remixed, reimagined, still iconic

I say this mostly because the vibe of the songs reminds me of the demos/songs from 2004-2006, like Look Who's Talking Now, I've Just Begun, Love Is A State Of Grace, etc. I'm just so incredibly excited to listen to the full thing because I'm a 100% sure that we will finally have the full Holy Trinity when Glory joins In The Zone and Blackout

...Just Love me though...I enjoyed the 30 second clip but seriously people are acting like its the most original and most important recording in Britney's career...

 

Ugh.

 

Don't get me wrong I liked the clip and am very excited to hear how the whole full song sounds but its definitely the least original of the four...

 

Seeing all this fan-fare for it is alarming...watch Britney release it as the 2nd single to appease fans:

And have the era end right there. Besides why would people want two back to back titles with me in them - and why would they want Britney to have MORE Selena Gomez comparisons...???

 

At this rate team B will release 3 songs off Glory

I have a confession more than anything- I like Clumsy LESS the more I hear it. No hate, but it'll be a possible skip track for a while.
