I have been streaming the hell out of the MM video on vevo for the last 10 days and it still doesn't have as many views as the MM Audio??? :crying1: :britdrown:

Thank goodness they released those remixes! We need something, ANYTHING to help MM on the charts!! Obviously ppl aren't watching this Vanilla video. I hope (and have faith) that they have something else up their sleeves to promote MM, like radio interviews, VMA video or (fingers crossed) a surprise original MM video release.. :mhm:

Keep Watching ppl!! Or at least play in the back ground!! :excited:

I will never watch that piece of shit again. I'm just holding out hope we're still getting the original MV like that insider said.

I am holding out hope too sis!!! BELIEVE ME!!! :crying4: However, at least stream the audio of MM on vevo or stream somewhere in the meanwhile because MM needs a boost! :crying1:

Audio >>> Video.  :yeahkright:

They dropped the ball big time there, the LaChapelle version is much more visually arresting and we haven't even seen a full, HQ edit.  When I think of MM I see her dancing in that black leo and in a cage covered in glittery-red paint.  The official video doesn't appeal to my senses at all.   :idgaf:

I completely agree!! Those visuals were exciting and edgy! #JusticeForRedBodyPaintedCageney :crying1: Although the concept and everything about it is shit, she does look absolutely INCREDIBLE in the released version #afewpropsdue

I'm 99% sure that the original MV won't be released, but hopefully the promo that they have prepared will give the song a push! The discount on iTunes and the remixes EP seem to be doing something, it's been rising some spots on iTunes, and I'm sure that stuff like the Carpool karaoke will at least gather soooooo much attention, so yeah, I have faith!

People isn't watching for obvious reasons :frenchy: But at least they should stream it in the background.

I do like the video; it's such a shame how things turned out and the way fans reacted :icanttt:

THIS!!! :excited::thumbsup: I do understand why everyone reacted the way they did.. I mean it was bound to happen given the hype for the original.. I think they could have spiced up the version we did get a little bit or added some choreo or something to make it not sting so much but oh well.. It's certainly not her worst video and we need those streams! Plus she looks stunning!!

YASSSS! I really hope and also have faith that they will kick it into high promo gear! I don't know that Carpool will do much for MM but it will certainly help with pre orders which could help! :mhm: I just really want MM to do well on Radio so it gets the praise it deserves and ushers in this era with a hit! :excited: I am glad with the amount of press this era has been getting for sure tho.. it seems like there's an article on Billboard or EW every other day!

That video is painful to watch tbh,

I still play all the new songs on Spotify everyday, non-stop.

MM is my fave so far. Followed by Private Show.

YAY! At least you're streaming it!!! :clap: I agree MM is my fav so far! :mahhaw:

But was there any doubt she wouldn't? She's been looking her absolute best the past year and half now.  This isn't aimed at you  because I read a lot of members here stating  "She looks great. So yay!"   Britney is known for making very compelling pop videos, but this wasn't the case here, and I think it's troubling if the only positive one can point out is how great she looks when it goes without saying to begin with. :britney-eeeek:

Never understand why some of you guys waste your time doing this

its a waste of time and energy, when you are putting more into promoting then the actual artist you need to re evaluate your priorities.

also, it's all a lie, streaming it in the background for days may make the numbers go up, but all your doing is faking how many times people actually watch or listen to the song.

its all a lie and a waste of time, I mean to each their own but seriously,  some of you guys put way too much weight in these things. Maybe if the numbers accurately represented the success of ,or non success of a song or video, Britney would  put on more effort then she does. All your doing is giving her a false state of success.

I donno, guess it's just me

maybe I'm too old

i just find it crazy

I totally get what you mean!!:mhm: If they weren't going to give us the original video, then they should have given us something more exciting than what we ended up getting. A more interesting concept, some choreo.. or something.  :mahhaw: I'm sad about it because I like MM so much and I want it be a hit for her! Maybe I'm staying with a sinking ship but I feel like there's still hope for MM if her team kicks it into high promo gear! :yayy:

:flop:  I mean I don't think there's anything fake or false about it. Streams bring more attention to the song and CAN lead to a domino effect on radio! I mean when videos and songs get a bunch of streams and views they get moved to the top of lists on vevo, spotify, youtube..etc  which makes them more likely for others to notice and view and when they get really popular they rise up the BB HOT 100 and then radio takes notice and starts playing it more.. it's a snowball effect that has to start somewhere.. If not WITH HER FANS then where???  :nowaygif:

I I guess my point is,

yes, your suppose to stream and all that stuff. But legitimately. Not just put it on repeat, in the background and then go to work or out for the night. Sure it bumps up the views, but they are fake.

Sure you you can do whatever you want, but those files numbers do more to hurt the artists you like then help them. It gives them false information on who many people are legitimately listening to their songs or watching their videos.

maybe I don't get it

maybe I'm just having a hard time expressing what I'm trying to say.

eirher way, just seems crazy to me

but to each their own

Yeah sorry sis I don't get what YOU'RE trying to say at all.. :xf11: I don't just put it on repeat, I put it on a play list that has the video and then the audio of not just MM just also PS and Clumsy. The views/streams count as impressions to Billboard just like radio, and impressions aren't just about penetration of a large audience but penetration of an individual! So they still help the artist regardless. They know one person is going to have a ton of impressions and another is going to only have a few. It's just like radio, if you listen to POP stations only, chances are you're going to hear the #1 song of the week a ton of times in that week as opposed to a person who maybe only heard it once that week because they happen to hear it at the super market and don't listen to the station that plays it normally. When they collect the data they account for all of this and know that fans of the artist make up a certain portion of the steams as they do with every artist out there. Believe me the marketing firms and data collectors that report these numbers to the labels, artists, radio stations, billboard..etc are far more sophisticated than you think ;) Look like you said it's your prerogative not to stream a bunch like a lot of us here are doing, to each their own, but just know that it can and does help songs gain success all the time. It's not a worthless effort if you're a stan!
