Larry talks to LA times regarding the scrapped 'Make Me' video

I agree that the first version, as riské and visually appealing as it was, didn't fit the mood of the song, but the second, official version didn't fit Make Me either. Fans wouldn't have complained that much if they had managed to create something that was still good and complimented the single, but oh well, that's in the past now :yeaaok:

It's a sexy song, so while the whole storyline (or lack thereof) might not have completely suited, it still looks like a far more fitting video than the piece of shit we actually got. I think it's pretty clear that Britney and co. are way out of touch when it comes to anything but the music itself... and even then her team are pretty clueless there, too. Thank Godney they actually listened to her with Glory and let her make the album she wanted.

Yes, Britney is sex, but the way she uses sex is not vulgar, it's not in your face, it's done is a way that makes you question how sexual it is. It's done in a way that's always elegant & classy.

This is exactly what I thought. :yesplz:

Do I think that scrapping the video entirely was a good idea? No.
They should have used the original dance scenes, and somehow blended the two versions together.
I think what the Make Me video we have is missing, is an actual dancing scene - one with actual choreography & fellow dancers.

This

They could have at least cut the raciest scenes from the original video like they did with Work Bitch, it would still be better than the released video

Yeah well that's nice....especially since Larry ALWAYS tells the truth....and because it makes perfect sense to scrap an expensive video by an amazing director and replace it with a rushed, underwhelming video. Yup, settle down people, there's nothing more to this story :4music:

There were rumors that's Spears rejected the clip because it was too sexy.

Larry: "It's really simple. The video just didn't work" "this is the first time we've reshot a video, & because it's Britney there are all kinds of conspiricies. Nobody is hiding anything"

Wtf ! That video clearly would of worked, everyone loved what they saw so far. They do anything to fuck it up ugh

So "didn't work"...really? And Glory Photoshoot didn't work too?

Fck Larry and send him to Alaska....

I'm trying to give Larry the benefit of the doubt since I don't know what he really does and why he says the things he says, but it's difficult to see him as more than a terrible manager. How does he work for one of the biggest pop stars of the decade? :soconfused:

He was her manager before she was famous, so he's been grandfathered in. I wish we could see what Britney would be like with a professional manager and team tbh. I have a strong feeling he had a heavy hand in the development of BJ and is a big part of why it turned out the way it did (insisting on will.i.am, trying to sneak in Myah's vocals, telling her to say it's her most personal album ever, getting her writing credit on every track, etc. it all reeks of Larry's bs.)

I can't believe he still says the things he does and she hasn't fired him. She's probably too nice or Jamie demands it in the conservatorship. Who knows. It's bad, though. :crying3:
