Blackout was widely regarded as one of the best, if not the best album of Britney's career to date by fans and critics alike. I recently purchased physical copies of both (y'all, I haven't bought a damn CD in so long) and have been playing them nonstop over the last 2 or so weeks. Honest to god was ready to give Glory the crown as the best album of her career, but listening to Blackout beginning to finish made me pause. And legit - I still think Blackout is just iconic af and the best work she's ever put out. What do you guys think?

Also, this is meant to be a fun perspective on a legendary artist's fantastic career, not a put down to either album. Also also, I put the last poll option there for those who want to drag my ass. :trollney:

Where is option "ITZ + Blackout >>>>>> Glory"? :orangu:

Btw- of course Blackout. I bought Japan Edition and Outta This World slayed my heart! I rather make order for ITZ Japan CD now than Glory.

should I make order for ITZ Japan CD now? :)

Um sis .. This shouldn't even be a question. Blackout is obviously her best work. Glory does not top it all, it is however apart of the holy trinity between itz, blackout, & glory. in the zone & blackout gave birth to glory

Myah Joan is better than Britney's BOMT album....how shady :orangu:

I mean it's not shady BOMT is still classic! Really the only songs I can listen to from BOMT are the singles tho because the rest are cheesy or dated. BJ wasn't great all the way through but I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the first 7 songs and think they fit in really well with the sound of FF. Just how I see it tho

Okay, instrumental versions on BJ album are better than BOMT instrumentals, but vocal and single content is better in BOMT album.

I have seen sooooo many people declare Glory to be her best work. And I think it's really good! But Blackout is still the tops imo.

Saying Glory is the best album by Britney is being delusional. Britney made her best effort in years and I don't think she could've topped it this far in her career. That doesn't mean it tops Blackout at all.

1. Blackout

2. In the Zone (+ My Prerogative tracks)

3. Glory

4. Circus

5. Femme Fatale

6. Britney Femme Fatale & Britney are super close honestly. Sometimes they change based on my mood. Like Intimidated > all of Femme Fatale.

7. Oops

8. BOMT

9. Britney Jean

It's such a tough question because on Blackout there are some of her best songs ever, but at the same time there are some weak tracks that I don't like that much, whereas Glory is a very solid album that I can listen from start to finish without skipping a single song, but that could also be because it's very new and exciting, so it could change with time. Overall, I'd say that, objectively, Blackout is her best album, but I enjoy Glory the most :yestbh:

ITZ still is the best for me. It's all because of Toxic and Everytime tbh ;) And also because It's the only album i can listen to all the way through and not skip any songs. Like, even on Blackout I sometimes skip Everybody and Get Back. :4music:  Glory, in its own right, is a brilliant album and it's all i've been listening to for the past 2 weeks since its release. So overall my list is:

1. ITZ

2. Blackout

3. Glory

4.Circus

5. Britney

6. FF

7. Oops (I hate putting oops here because it's such a good album but Brit has so many good albums it's so hard :crying3:)

8. BJ

9. BOMT

As usual, you're spot on and I couldn't agree more. :slay:

I can't get enough of her vocal performances on Glory, which have been praised more than anything, whereas Blackout has always been seen as a producer's showcase.

Personally I think they're both on a pretty equal footing.

Blackout has much stronger Single-level material with some missteps in the album tracks whereas Glory runs fully through perfectly but there are no really good Standout singles.

Blackout will always be slightly higher in my books tho just on pure iconic-ness of the MV's and Blackout as an era.

OUFFFF thats hard, but not at the same time...I''ll say Blackout but because thats like THEE Britney album! its her grand opus BUT I think as a whole Glory sounds more developed and travels farther than BO if that makes sense. Glory is almost too good overall and every song is a bop

Well Blackout is probably one of my least favourite Britney albums. It's not that I don't like it but it's definetly better to listen to Glory or In The Zone .. I'd say Glory is her best album because it has that cool and chill sound I've always wanted britney to do,  but on the bad side there's ONLY ONE EDM TRACK. Which annoys the fuck out of me. I wish she would go back to her Femme Fatale style but combine it with Glory.... or get skrillex as a producer :frenchy: the thing is , Blackout might be the most loved by fans but IMO Glory is way better and let's not forget her vocals and the place she is in her life now <3
