And debuted number 1 on iTunes in several countries you couldn't even count them all Sweetie, please... Its her best album in a very long time AND she did the vmas! with her level of fame and hype she should have sold a million by now not 147k dont tell me its 'the times'... Her promo and hype were too strong to measure up to others....(well except for mm video backlash) My local hits radio statios havent even played MM since the day it was reased. Wtf is that about 1
heather Posted September 14, 2016 #6 Report Posted September 14, 2016 Andy Cohen is always flip floppy with Britney, and as much as he didn't lie about glory, he still shades her every chance he gets and I'm not here for that. @Light Yagami Glory is far from a flop the radio has never been kind to Britney, and it doesn't matter her level of fame or promo, that won't change. 1

Wtf is that about Unfortunately for Britney she is perceived as someone who is just straight up whack as an artist -- the lip-synching is a major reason and a topic that isn't just regulated to pop music forums -- and her last joint album with Myah Marie was both a critical & commercial flop. So she has a lot of repairing to do but the interest is still there. Glory proves when she has solid material, is engaged, and singing(!) she's s the undisputed Princess of Pop with a lot still to offer. This is her first album in years (if at all) to garner praise for her vocals, I think that right there is a major win and far exceeds any sales record or certification. 1

I dont understand this sudden obsession people are having with lipsyncing i for example couldnt care less...i like watching a show...I absolutely cannot spend half a minute watching a singer just singing which is why i hate Adele and all those boring singing competitions also singing is no longer a worthy talant....every second person on youtube can sing and record music (and every person on the street...'the voice' is a proof...tons of ppl who can sing but are flat out boring) its the show thats rare and cool so youd think ppl would appreciated it more...
Mrs Jared Leto Posted September 14, 2016 #9 Report Posted September 14, 2016 i bet he fears a shitstorm

I saw Britney's show back in April, spent a good amount of money on the seats I purchased, and regret nothing. However her blatant lip-synching, especially to decade-old vocals, is off-putting and doesn't get lost because of how great the show is. I knew what I was paying for, but her Vegas shows aren't made up of just stans and I actually heard some people asking around me: "She's not even singing, huh?" (One would be better off just watching her music videos on YouTube instead since POM plays out like a live-action music video -- no shade -- but a counterargument to you finding singers like Adele "boring" in concert). Time's have changed, the days of dance over singing are long gone, which is why Britney's act sticks out so much and is harshly criticized. She can have all the bells & whistles of a pop show along with live/good prerecorded vocals, one doesn't have to (and shouldn't) be sacrificed over the other.
