Britney Spears is on the cover of this months NME magazine! Miss Spears speaks about “Glory”, her career path and also being called “Godney” by the Britney Army. Check out the interview below:

On the secret to her longevity:

“I try not to analyse it too much. I love what I do and I think that helps because it speaks for itself when I perform.”

On another career path:

“Seeing other artists continue to do this kind of thing inspires me too. Because sometimes I’m like, “What am I doing?” Like, I could be a teacher. But then I see other people doing it too and I’m like, “Well, you know, it’s probably all they’ve known for so long, so it just kind of makes sense.”

On her creative input with Glory:

“Honestly, this is the first project where I’ve really been hands-on. I was really specific about who I worked with and I’ve been learning to say no. I’m a people-pleaser, so that’s hard for me – even if I don’t like something, I’ll do it just to make a person happy.I made sure this album was everything I wanted it to be. I was really selfish with it.”

Being nicknamed Godney and The Holy Spearit:

“That’s just how the fans are – and I don’t want to let them down. At the end of the day, we’re all human and we all make mistakes. It’s really flattering, but I don’t know if I can set my bar that high. I’m sure a lot of them have almost felt like they’ve grown up with me.”

Britney we don't expect you to be perfect. It's because of your imperfections that you stand out from the rest. The strength you have shown through your struggles is motivational.

THIS! Sure there are a ton of fans with unrealistic expectations when it comes to Britney, but for the most part the majority of us just want to see her happy and doing what she loves to do. Which is exactly what we have now, and I couldn't be happier as a fan and for Britney.

I think that she just sort of gets in promo mode sometimes and says things she knows her team will love, like this or "I feel like this is my best work yet" which we all know she says about almost every album! That being said I don't doubt that she had more influence over Glory and ITZ and maybe even a little on BO.

Me too!  Hell Glory will easily be my most listened to album considering the only other album I'm listening to ever is CRJ Emotion from LAST YR  Glory is EASILY the best pop album this year! I honestly don't even think any others come close!

I totally agree!

 

I think it's so easy for fans to get caught up in little drama's like the vma's or mm video and that's fine we're only human BUT you have to get past it at some point, wake up and appreciate that she is giving us a 2nd coming of primeney almost 20yrs into her career!!! THAT IS A MIRACLE and should be recognized as so! Like if you are a Britney fan and your weave isn't perpetually snatched this whole era then you need to give up on life bc you're worthless! The only other artists that serve their fans with that kind of longevity epicness are Madge and Theifonce. WE ARE SOME OF THE LUCKIEST STANS in the world and we should start showing some gratitude! end rant
