Britney should choose the singles, NOT the fans...

Hello, it was Britney's brilliant idea to release Toxic as her next single from ITZ. Also, it was HER idea to release Gimme More and then Piece of Me off Blackout. She's the pro and we should not doubt her decisions. When her fans start getting in the way we get flop singles like Criminal and If You Seek Amy (which i never really liked until recently).

 

In the end it's her baby and she should call all the shots

Criminal and IUSA are really good songs, regardless of if they achieved commercial success or not. This fanbase is extremely clueless

I'm afraid that she'd choose Do You Wanna Come Over?, which is a great song and I wouldn't mind it being a single latter, but to follow up Make Me and now that the hype for the album release is over we need a stronger track that can become a hit on its own, and I feel like DYWCO is not that song

Completely agree! Everyone thinks their opinions on the industry are valid and act like they know better than Britney, then we ended up with if you seek Amy (which I loved, but as a single? No) and criminal ( ) glory is Britney's baby and she needs to have the control, no know it all fans that actually know nothing

I don't have receipts or anything but isn't there a rumor going around from the Chile Britney FaceBook Page that says that the label wants Slumber Party or Just Luv Me and Britney wants Love Me Down or Liar.. and that they are releasing a poll Monday or something???? 

 

Personally I think that Britney is right about LOVE ME DOWN!!!! It should be the 2nd single because it is upbeat which is what the GP and radio need after MM and then Slumber Party should be 3rd single.. HOWEVER I would not be mad at any of these selections except I think Liar would be a mistake since it's the weakest of the bunch. I also would be fine with DYWCO? for 2nd single but I think LOVE ME DOWN is more radio friendly and catchy! OMG can you just picture how epic and sexy the choreo in the video would be for LOVE ME DOWN?!?!?!

YASSS! THIS!!  I would be happy with Love Me Down, Better or DYWCO? as 2nd single! I think Love Me Down might have the best chance of radio and single success since Better is only on the deluxe and DYWCO? is more experimental sound wise but honestly I would be over the moon with any of those 3 amazingly perfect bops for 2nd single!

No, it's not. That song, Just Like Me and Invitation are my friends faves even though they don't like Britney (except I Wanna Go, Toxic, BOMT and S&S cause those are THE HITS here in my country at least)

Sorry sis gotta disagree with you here! Great songs but NOT SINGLE WORTHY AT ALL!!! Also "your friends" are not representative of the general public or what does well on radio! Invitation and Just like Me are not upbeat or super catchy and they aren't even in the top five songs from Glory of most of the fans on this thread. Plus it would be highly unlikely that they would release a deluxe only track like Liar as a single since that almost never happens.  What country are you in?

Agreed, but If U Seek Amy is an iconic track which did insanely well on the radio, causing a lot of controversy. It also sold 1 million copies on iTunes within a few weeks.

I'm from Peru, but my friends ARE into general music, they do know about what would be a hit. They also don't like Britney much, and one of them asked their friends and same the same, so...

 

One of them said that she liked Invitation but it's not radio worthy. They also said Slumber Party, one of them speak french (she was in France like two years) and said her accent sucks (so the french fans said so too). Basically they said: Clumsy, Just Luv Me, Slumber Party, Liar and Better. They said those were radio worthy in some levels. So...

As for Criminal... well...

But you're right. This fanbase does not know how to pick singles. Plus Britney really, doesn't need to release singles that appeal to her fans because we're going to buy what she puts out anyways. It's the general public that she needs to appeal for. We need to think "what song would be hugely successful?" not "what song do I like the best as a die-hard fan?" because those are two totally different things. Britney has always killed it for picking her new singles so we should trust her with whatever choice she makes.

Again a poll of a few of your friends in Peru is not representative of the masses but I'm glad you're polling your friends for their opinions!  That being said I agree with them about Better, Just Luv Me and Slumber Party... But Liar and Clumsy are NOT radio hits.. at least here in the US they wouldn't be  According to this poll the next single should be LOVE ME DOWN followed by Slumber Party and then Change Your Mind and then Just Luv Me and I would be absolutely happy if them being released in that order!!!
