Britney on being a pop star at Madonna's age: "Nope. Nah. Give me five - two? more years - and yeah."

It's at the end of the article :crying4:

Does she mean she wants to quit after Vegas? :crying4:

Why would she say that? :crying4:

also why is every instance where "fi" should be, it's replaced with a 0? is it like that in the printed magazine? Why is her shit always messed up for the release?

She said days ago that she would release 9 albums after Glory

Some options

Britney have the same brain than Dory and forget everything idontknowney.gif
Britney will release new albums but not performing them

Britney doesn't want to be a pop star anymore but a country singer

Britney just doesn't give a f*ck and loves to be messy with journalists ohnoney.gif

Britney doesn't want to know where she will be at Madonna's age

Or this article is pure bullshit carpoolney.gif

To be fair, it's the NME article. I seriously doubt they would make up a quote, especially something like that.

I definitely don't see Britney being like Madonna in the sense of touring and stuff into her later years, but I do see her teaching dance and possibly having her own label. But I also think we still have many years of Britney left.

Britney says a lot of things so take it with a grain of salt. I do think in 10 years she will be done performing full time as a pop star and that would make sense. Most people retire from their careers at or around the 30 year mark. Pop stars and singers are usually only hot for 10 to 15 years at most. The generation of pop stars from 97-02 have all generally dramatically slowed down or completely stopped, or changed career directions. Her, Beyonce and Justin are definitely exceptions to the rule but basically don't be surprised if by the time they're all 40 (in 2021) things will be much different. It's amazing she's gone this long, I try not to be too upset if she decides she's done.

Ya'll she signed a 4 album deal in 2013, she's not going anywhere for a while. Labels don't let you just retire without completing ur contract requirement.

Tbh tho I'm pretty sure the conservators aren't gonna let their cash cow just retire. She'll scale things back and stuff will change, but 'Brand Britney' will always be exploited.

Not necessarily true. If she doesn't want to record she does not have to. Think about it, bands are signed to deals and break up before their contracts are up.

NSYNC went on an indefinite hiatus in  2002 and haven't released any new music since and I'm sure they probably had 2 more albums on that deal with, now shut, Jive records. The only reason she would have to fulfill the contract is if she wants to renegotiate or not be signed anymore. She can retire and remain signed.

I dont think that she is happy about how the álbum is doing after all the work she put on it... plus the negativity over her VMAs performance .. something looks off on her after the first week when the álbum come out... i dont want to sound negative but i feel this when i see her now , there is like a before and an after a (the álbum release and VMAs) in question of exitiment on her about this era.

i look at her when she start to perform DYWCO and she was a ball of energy back then, Now its not seems the same .. and in the magazines intervews she start to answers again  What was doing her if she wasnt a star, just like in ff and bj eras , and she responds that she Isnt made for this indistry., and back then, before  the álbum come out she was Saing that she wanted record 9 álbums more ... i am afraid that she Isnt enjoing it ?

If you read the article it seems like she meant to say 5 "to" _____ years.

5 to 10?

5 to 6?

Otherwise she would've said 5 "or" 2 years.

The person interviewing her directly quoted her word for word and it ends up reading kind of weird.
