Re-watched Apple Music Festival

Actually I had only watched 20 mins of it...Now that I have watched the whole thing, I can't believe how good she did!!!

 

She didn't do the backflip but she practically slayed "touch of my hand"!!! That was the only "unfortunate" thing of the 1 hour and 30 min show!

 

She was super energetic!

Her dance moves were on point!

The re-arranged choreos (piece of me, slave, toxic etc) looked sooooooo damn good!

That thing was LIVE, not just a studio product like the femme fatale tour dvd!

 

Honestly, I can't believe her performing skills are still in such a good level after 18 years!

Honestly, I can't believe how less good performers like Beyonce and Rihanna are more successful nowadays!

 

I had chills while watching her perform!

 

If I described Britney's performances, I would say they are a mix of:

epic dance moves,

comedy,

high energy levels,

sex,

theatrics,

amazing costumes,

visual effects

yet, all of them with a pinch of simplicity to keep the focus on Britney, the main attraction!

 

True performer!!!

Yeah, when I first watched it I wasn't too impressed because you could tell that, as she said, she was a bit jet-lagged and out of it, but when I rewatched it I enjoyed it more! Some performances were a bit lackluster, but some others like the whole first act, Me Against The Music, Toxic and even Make Me were really really good! Overall, even though her moves weren't always sharp and she kept forgetting some steps there and there, I love that she had a big smile on her face during the whole thing, you can tell that she loves being on a stage and all the comments about her not "enjoying her job" should stop because it's clear that she does!

I am a HARDCORE Britney fan and will defend her to alll ends. But REALLLLLY lol we are not going to drag a fucking POWERHOUSE like BEYONCE just cuz we think Britney is on her shit after so many years of not pleasing us performance wise. and Rihanna has been improving vocally Immensely, us fans still struggle with Britney's lipsyncing. Aside from the unneeded mentioning and comparing of Beyonce and Rihanna. Yes our girl is improving each performance. granted AMF is not the best shes performed POM imo she looked great and had reallly good highlights. Im so proud of her and her push right now shes everywhere like she used to be

I don't really think Beyonce is a POWERHOUSE. I actually think she is one of the most overrated artists of all time. I tried to give her a chance but I don't really like her music and I honestly think her performances are boring and not that impressive. I respect your opinion of course BUT it's not a common knowledge that Beyonce is a POWERHOUSE. This is just some people's opinion. Pretty much the same goes with Rihanna...

 

Also, what's so bad about comparing them? It is a forum afterall...We discuss those things...

 

Last but not least...I have NEVER struggled with the fact that Britney lip syncs. From her prime performances, I rarely watch everytime or anything else similar. I've always been a fan of her dancing performances.

 

So please let me enjoy this amazing concert and have (and share) MY opinion!

Yaaas!!! I completely agree with your post. I think Beyonce is Ok but that's it. She has a few good dance moves and a good voice but other than that she's the definition of overrated, she's nothing out of this world. I also loved your comment about the lipsyncing, imo her best performances, even back in 1999 were when she was lipsyncing. I almost never watch any of her live ballads because I've always loved her dancing performances. Her voice is cute, but I rather watch a performance with well executed choreography and album vocals, than a performance where her voice is cracking every second, she's out of breath and bad dancing. As for the AMF performance at first i wasn't impressed by it, but by the third time I watched the whole concert I really enjoyed it. I think her only problem is that she's too used to her stage in Las Vegas and everytime she performs at a different stage she freaks out because she doesn't know where's her spot and the dancers have to direct her and tell her where to go.

Once you've seen the whole thing once, you can actually enjoy it afterwards.

 

I think it's because we are still scared that she will mess up the show.

 

The first time we saw the AMF we were picking up every single flaw and focusing on each and every step she was missing. Now if you sit back and enjoy the concert, you realize that it's actually awesome and we were complaining about unimportant details. Even the backflip didn't look so bad. It was kinda funny, she handled it like a pro as if nothing had happened and the show moved on smoothly!

Apple music festival was REALLY, really good. I LOVE the reworked stuff, and it makes me almost angry that it would be the same when she gets back to Vegas because she'll be back on the bigger stage with all of her props and etc. This era has been everything

I've seen it by cuts, becouse I have no time now to see it fully. And I'm amazed, she's WOW!! she's spectacular!!!

but... she only performed MM from the Glory album???  maybe I overlooked another glory song, but if that's right, I think it's a wrong choice from her., and She should took the oportunity to put on the show and promote more her new album. Dont you?

She did DYWCO as well but those are the two Glory performances in POM right now. So those are the two she performed.

thanks....I saw it just a minutes ago 

I don't like much the DYWCO performance... I see it  a few washy, missing more movement, more dancing a less walking and arms up and down

and I flet disapointed with Circus choreo too.... in the MV she made an awsome one, and in this perform it was... quite lax.

But, in general it's a great great performance, I'm gonna see it again and again, while I imagine that she's gonna make a world tour...
