Since I've come down with the flu and am pretty much confined to my bed (thank the lord for Glory on repeat), I thought it would be fun to start an Unpopular Opinions thread. Basically any opinion you have on Britney's discography, live shows, tours, interviews, etc. that you know aren't shared in general by the fanbase. Could be a like, dislike, whatever. I'll start it off with my two:

1. If U Seek Amy is incredibly overrated and the music video is super boring.

2. Anticipating is a bop. Super catchy, carefree, and light - it was all I wanted when I was 13 years old (and still feel that often nowadays).

Alright, your turn. :bomt:

I always imagined more r&b version like Alan Braxe Remix, hope someone use whole extended remix with acapella and make normal full song with this instrumental.

Interesting thread. I don't like the If u seek amy video either. My opinions

1. I dislike the circus era: The tour and costumes are boring, album cover and tracklist are a mess

2. Radar is a flawless bop, edgy and catchy and just amazing. Trouble and Phonography also flawless bops banished to bonus track areas, both should have been on a blackout re release instead of Flopcus

btw get well soon!

Thanks! I'm getting there. :)

Agreed on Circus. I know it's so much of the fanbase's fave, but I always found the album to be overall mediocre and super random. It didn't have a flow or theme imo.

I'm with you on a FF 2.0. I hate that that was the period she was out of it for whatever reason (meds, depression, whatever), but that album is so fucking good.

And I'm so conflicted on Dr. Luke. It's like so many people you learn about in Hollywood. Talented af, but highly problematic.

I LOVE HIR! That was instantly one of my favorites off of FF and I too think it would've done well as a single.

Ive seen a lot of people say its the worst song on the album :orly: , but its my fav, i love the little bubbly noises, overall its a fun bop :fab:

Yeah when FF came out I was still pretty much on Exhale and the hate for that song was insane. I mean, I don't expect everyone to love it, but I was surprised that it was singled out for so much hate.

I think that Break the Ice is one of the weakest song off Britney whole discography (and the demo was so much better... but still a cheap song) :awkward:

I voted for Criminal as 4th single

How I Roll is a fucking great song.
Freakshow is like 1000x better than Gimme More

I don't like Crossroads, Britney is a terrible actress

Me Against the Music is a great lead single, better than Hold it Against Me and Womanizer

Hold it Against Me is so OVERrated

Fun fact: my boyfriend's favorite Britney song, of her ENTIRE discography, is PG. I'm still not sure how I feel about that lmao.

I enjoy both "Pretty Girls" & "Ooh La La."

I've always found "Where Are You Now" to be an overrated vocal showcase.

From what we've heard of "Rebellion" I'm glad that track never surfaced in full.

I'm not a total fan of her cover for "My Prerogative" and think the original by B. Brown is much better (I love the video tho.)

I don't believe her great cover of "You Outta Know" was sung live -- despite what the musical director claims.

Her "Oops!" Tour is vastly underrated and ranks top 2 (IMO).

I understand the reasoning & sentiment but I hate the video (and song) for "Someday," like with "Make Me...", I've only watched this clip once.

SECOND ON REBELLION! Tbh, while I enjoy some of her unreleased songs, many of them are bad and I'm glad they weren't released.

Another unpopular opinion from me: Strangest Love is awful.

Again

1. I literally get horny when I hear Mad Love
2. I wouldn't mind a will.i.am feature again
3. I love the Lucky lullby remix and I'm pissed it got removed from POM
4. My favourite performance this year is BBMAS
5. I actually like the MV for Ooh La La and the song is amazing
6. The Pretty Gurls MV would be amazing without that scene with her friends
