For the record, I don't agree entirely with this article (before some members come in here and lose their damn minds): http://verilymag.com/2016/10/britney-spears-latest-album-glory-feminism-news-1716

What's interesting me to is how this argument has followed Britney for her entire career. Even as a teen I found questions about her virginity to be vile, disgusting, unnecessary, and largely misogynistic. The general public doesn't give room for females to explore their sexuality and their bodies the way they do males (speaking only to the U.S.), and this was even more true in the 2000s. Anything she or any other sexually empowered female of that time did was either inappropriate or too "buttoned up." I watched Britney struggle, as a teen girl is wont to, with learning her body and sexuality and growing up - same as plenty of other girls have throughout history. I related to her struggle, particularly through her songs and videos. I don't find her music overall baseless, but even when it is - I enjoy the break from the "real world."

Anyway, my two cents.
